No, evolution shows that life on Earth wasn't just poofed into existence. A diety could still exist under those circumstances.

Evolution is a scientific theory that best explains observable facts! Scientists have no interest in God... God is completely irrelevant to the ToE. GET OVER YOURSELVES!

What's a diety? A slim god/dess?

Science has never tried, science deals with the natural universe, God mighta shown up in the process but it hasn't happened yet.
Who you want are the philophisors or communists, these are not the heretics you're looking for

for the billionth time, evolution does not equal atheism, the absence of god is not required for evolution to be true, you could easily say that god influenced the process, and a lot of people say just that.

Science has nothing to do with god. Science is facts. You're just mad that god hasn't come up as fact under science. But really, science could care less about god.

With the exception of the 2 guys I saw supporting evolution (ie being rational and not fucktards) that thread is so full of fail.
Several of the fundies kept trying to "teach" the rationalists about evolution, but always failed miserably and hurt my brain.

This would be a big surprise to my old paleontology prof, who also taught Sunday School.
Somehow it didn't bother him to believe in evolutionary descent with modification.

Evolution is about life adapting to a changing environment. For all we know, a deity might have started the process some four billion years ago.
Are you saying that every single scientist in the world is in on this gigantic distortion conspiracy? Even the many Christian, Muslim, Hindu, etc, scientists?
Because, you see, the one bringing irrefutable evidence that ToE is false will be famous.

What about scientists that believe in a god? Why do they accept evolution? You can't convince me that a Christian would try to hide evidence of their own god.
And even if evolution was disproved (which will probably never happen, considering the overwhelmingly obvious evidence in favour of evolution), my lack of belief in deities would be completely unfazed.
