last september the evolutionist community finally couldnt deny the truth any longer: the T-rex never existed. they've known it for 8 years, but their credibility was at stake. sorry guys, there's no such thing as a t-rex. look it up for yourselves.

WOW.. just WOW. I have been reading some of the quotes on this site.. great site, btw.. and I am floored by the idiocy out there. Do these people actually breathe for themselves or do they have someone with them 24/7 to remind them? Maybe that's what their \"god\" does?

It's always amazed me that T-Rex was essentially a freak of evolution. Its direct ancestors were the ornithomimidae (gallumimis, struthiomimus and other ostrich-like dinosaurs). Other carnosaurs (Allosaurus, etc) were from a different evolutionary path: the theropods. So T-rex is actually a great example of convergent evolution! (I'm not entirely sure if this information is still relevant. I'm remembering this from a 10 year old Discover article).

In any case, I think it is disgraceful for Christians to be so ignorant of the world around them. It's not so bad that such a person is mocked for his stupidity. What makes it so shameful is that by his actions, he makes all Christians appear as fools and subsequently our beliefs as foolish. Without even understanding it, they cause more harm to the body of Christ than any of the perceived heresies they fight so diligantly against.

Tyrannosaurus Rex did, in fact, exist; several skeletons of the species have been found. The existence of Jesus, however, is not nearly so well documented and is, in fact, open to considerable doubt; in short, dinosaurs certainly existed, but it's possible that Jesus didn't.

cerebulon. You were pretty close on that one. Actually, while Tyranosaurs was a coelurosaur, it's part of the transitional family that lies between the tetanurae family and the true orithomimuses. So in short, the tyrannosaurs are a transitional group that didn't quite evolve into the bird mimics and instead found their own niche as top predatory/scavanger. But all carniviourus dinosaurs belong to the theropod order.

Let's face it, he's playing creationist rumour games: If they can convince their kids in fundieland that T-Rex never existed the kids would loose all interest in dinosaurs. It's easily the one that captures the imagination and cool-factor that makes kids so keen on dinosaurs.

You're right, there is no such thing as T-Rex. Well, not a living one. They've been extinct for 65 million years.

However, the big fella sure as heck did exist back in the day when the planet's inhabitants were either too dumb or too smart to invent gods. And I'd like to know which "evolutionist community" suddenly denied the existence of the T.Rex back in September 2002. I know it's been almost ten years, but I think I'd have remembered.
