I have thus far been unable to find anything in God's Written Word that justifies abortion. Women have died in childbirth since the begining of time and I suppose they always will. That is a sad fact of life. Nevertheless, I have not found it listed as justification for abortion.

I'll bet you won't find anything in there to justify posting on the Internet either, so please stop.
Good grief, when will these people accept that it's no longer the 1st century A.D.? Time has moved on, folks, and so should you!

People have also practiced homosexuality since the beginning of time. It's a fact of life. Somehow, though, I doubt you find that as acceptable as putting women to death (along with their fetuses, in many cases) because it's "God's will."
Have you been able to find anything about modern medicine in "God's Written Word" so far? No? Guess why? Because it's a tale written thousands of years ago by ignorant shepherds somewhere in the Middle East. It's interesting as an ancient text, but so is the Illiad and many others, and no one thinks about taking them as absolute guides to the Universe save religious fundies.
What passages in the bible justify organ transplants, blood transfusions, and vaccinations? People have died of blood loss and natural disease since the beginning of time, and I suppose they always will.
We still perform them, and I think we'll keep right on performing them. Funny thing, that.

I wonder if he'd say the same thing if it were his wife or sister dying in childbirth.

I must be reading a diffrent bible.
Numbers 31:17-“Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every women that hath known man by lying with him.”
Sure, there might not be anything in the Bible that justifies abortions, but there isn't anything that prohibits them either. When the Bible was written, abortions were very dangerous and often killed the woman too, so they were only done if the woman's life was already threatened.
Men have died of prostate cancer since the beginning of time, and I suppose they always will. That is a sad fact of life.
None of that is a reason not to try to save the men suffering from prostate cancer, though...
Confused?
