"Lessin does an excellent job of of covering all aspects of biblically based discipline of children. A "must read" written for real Christians who have not fallen for Satans anti-spanking and anti-family agenda. With very little child raising literature available to Godly parents, Lessin's book is a blessing."
PROTIP: Kids have long memories. Consider that, as you get older - and weaker - and they grow up, becoming physically stronger than you.
They get to choose your retirement home in the future.
My mother is in one of the best in my locale; sheltered accommodation, with security, excellent staff, and effectively her own little apartment, with separate kitchen (although a 'restaurant' facility is available in-house), bathroom, bedroom & living room (she loves the 32" HD TV, with Sky satellite channels!). With shopping trips twice a week, and week-long holidays three times a year.
It's what comes from her not so much as touching her kids whilst raising us (my father never even raised his voice to me, never mind his hand; just sitting us down and calmly talking us through the reasons why we should do otherwiose, whenever we were bad. When your own father beat you for just being there, it kinda shapes your mindset for when you have kids in the future.)
I'm an Atheist. As was my father. My mother? She has a 'Meh. Take it or leave it' attitude to religion. Destroyed argument much, Leigh Ann?
