Quote# 2947

Because the bacteria is still a bacteria after it mutates. It doesn't evolve into a wolf!

It takes MILLIONS of generations to even get to a two celled organism.....

Do not do research for evolution with Pokemon, dimbulb.

2/7/2008 7:54:47 PM

Not in one mutation no. But over millions and billions of years many mutations can pile up and change a group of organisms we define as "bacteria" into a group of organisms we define as "wolves".

Mutation does not always create a more advanced lifeform.
Get your sorry ass back to a remedial biology class.

And you probably think Influenza and E coli are the same thing.

Yes, but after millions of years, adding up all those small mutations . . .

Lawrence Talbot

Even a man who is pure of heart
And says his prayers by night
May become a wolf
When the wolfbane blooms
And the moon is full and bright.

I 'evolve' every month and wake up with muddy sheets.
My theme song is the same as Liberace's;
~~ I'll be looking at the moo-oon...
but I'll be seeing youuuuuuuuuuuuuu ~~

It amazes me that people can be this ignorant about evolution. Or, this guy is using a Straw Man.

"Because the bacteria is still a bacteria after it mutates."

In that case, the Common Cold would have become extinct after humans became immune to the original strain. The very fact we haven't been able to come up with a cure for such - even now in the 21st Cetury - is conclusive proof for Evolution.

9/16/2009 11:30:22 AM

I'm not even losing my time trying to explain to those people how evolution works.

I think they've been watching to much pokemon, and now think that's how evolution happens.

Caustic Gnostic

Because the bacteria is still a bacteria after it mutates. It doesn't evolve into a wolf!

That is correct. Who is feeding you this 'wolf' bullshit?

That's 'a bacterium', btw.

you Fail at biology!

go back to school..

Because when you're in New York and you take a step you're still in New York. There is no way to walk from New York to LA.

Right now, as I procrastinate for my looming organic chemistry exam, most of my disdain for you comes from the fact that you have clearly never experienced the rigors of a formal education in the hard sciences.

10/4/2010 2:36:01 PM

I am surprised - no stunned - that you have enough of an education to know that bacteria are capable of mutation!!!

10/4/2010 2:43:25 PM

Turn off the kiddie TV channel, because PokeMon isn't evolution.

10/4/2010 5:08:15 PM

I think these people get real mutation mixed up with comic book style mutation sometimes.

rubber chicken

It could be argued that a wolf is merely a highly organised colony of bacteria.

6/28/2012 12:11:57 AM

He's so silly! Everyone knows that bacteria evolve into bears, not wolves! /s
