IMHO, if God considered something an abomination and immoral in the old testament, He isn't going to turn around and say it's okay in the new testament.

Yeah, he wouldn't say something like, \"eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth\" in the old testament and then tell people to \"turn the other cheek\" in the new one, DUH!

Do you stone people for eating pork? Or for disobeying their parents?

Yep, Irenaeus of Lyon made sure of that. Even though Christ was made incarnate in Jesus to *kill* the OT myth, the OT myth prevailed.
Such is politics.

NOT TRUE SIR.
The bible is not one continuous work by one writer. Think about it.

How about stoning sabath breakers in the OT and then saying we should be more understanding in the new? ("Why do you let your disciples do that which is unlawful on the sabath...." etc)

Actually God consider the eating of shrimp and shell fish in the old testament to be an abomination. Then, in the new testament, he gives a vision of this sea food to one of his followers (Peter or Paul) and told them it was okay to eat this food.

And nevertheless, he did. Remember divorce?. Or circumcision, for that matter?

Ok, if so sticky with the OT, why don´t you convert to Judaism and let the other Christians to turn the other cheek?

No way. That's too generous; God and the Bible contradict themselves way too many times for the gap to be that big.

"if God considered something an abomination and immoral in the old testament, He isn't going to turn around and say it's okay in the new testament."
Jesus doesn't specifically condemn homosexuality anywhere in the New Testament, when - if it
such a life-or-death matter to his believers (i.e.
lot on RR*), he
It's not condemned in the story of David & Jonathan in the Old Testament (when it
previously in Leviticus).
So it seems even your so-called 'God' can't make up his own fucking mind. Meanwhile, the legal systems of all civilised,
countries have decided the matter.
Deal with it, Ruptured Retards.
*- Remember, fundies: if it
specifically mentioned in the Bible,
it doesn't exist.
A word springs to mind... what is it now...? If memory serves correct, it begins with a 'R', ends with a 'E', and has an 'APTUR' in the middle.
Revelation 22:18, ring any bells, Ruptured Retards...?!

You would think so, but your Bible says otherwise.
