Granted. I'm not the most boned up on the scripture, nor will I pretend to be. However, any Christian I know will be the first to say the most basic tenets of Christianity are love and tolerance. You know. Like Jesus.

Hmmm. He's an asshole, but the Devil? That's a touch strong.

So anything with any evidence to it is a lie? Wow. Someone call the Courts. They've been doing it wroooooong.

He wasn't there in the beginning...or at least there was no mention of him, so far as I'm aware of.

From the picture I've been painted, I'm screwed no matter what, so I fail to see why I should stress about it.

No, generally the guilty try to appeal to the Judge's mercy. The wrongly accused tend to be outraged. Especially when his righteous ruling tends to be more of a kangaroo court.

So says the one hiding behind the son of god looking for a free pass.

Are we really so wrong to do so? He creates us with not only the capacity for sin, but a predisposition for it, which he punishes us for. He gives us no real reason to believe he exists, except an ancient book that he whispered into the ears in bits and pieces of dozens of men over a few millennia, and then lets it get mangled by retranslation after retranslation, never taking a few minutes, hours (A blink if he's eternal) to clarify it for his wayward children, but punishes those who don't choose right. Not to forget those who have never even heard of Jesus or God, or choose to worship a different flavor (Judaism, Muslims, Catholics, etc.) Does that really seem like a fair and just judge to you?

So we should worship God because rather than striking us down on the spot for the slightest question of his existence or morality, he lets us live in complacency, and then sends us to burn for eternity? Abusive boyfriend much?
