Quote# 30360

I can't understand how libertarian Ron Paul can gain so much traction among conservative and Christians. If I understand libertarianism correctly, Ron Paul's politics will allow me and my family to freely worship and go to church, while it will also allow the pornographers the right to create the porn to corrupt my son, so that he may get so jacked-up on the porn that he's not even able to listen to me or his youth pastor. Then, my son, being porn-primed, will go out and impregnate his girlfriend, who will then sell her soul and her baby's life away by becoming easy pickings for the abortuary down the street from her house that was allowed to stay open to perform murders-for-hire. All this because all ideas and voices have merit and promise under Ron Paul's libertarianism.

@The Sarah Fish
It so would, wouldn't it?

I can't believe Mark Nesta wrote all that and didn't mention drugs or the gay agenda!

A libertarian is a cross between a fiscal conservative and a social liberal. Libertarians believe in minimum government on both fiscal and social issues. That makes them conservative on fiscal issues because they want minimize government regulation of business and the economy. But it makes them liberals on social matters because they also want to minimize government regulation of behavior.

Freedom is so evil, right Mark? How about we make porn legal and your religion illegal. Do you see the fallacy behind your thinking yet?

I agree, porn is a terrible thing for young people to see.

Because they don't use condoms in porn.

Your son won't be influenced by porn if you refuse to buy him a pornograph.

So far as I could ever see 'libertarian' means 'I don' wanna pay taxes'.

Danm, I can hear the Jack Boots goose stepping through this asshole's mind from here. Yes Mark, you actually have to think for yourself and raise your kid to do the same. If you don't, the world is going to kick his ass and good.

Paul's against abortion. And against a bunch of other things as well. He's more of a paleoconservative than a libertarian.

Yes, other people have the right to do whatever they want too. Got a problem with that? Obviously you do.

That is because you are an idiot Mark Nesta. Well okay, you read World Net Daily which makes that obvious, but you are stupid even by those GOP brain-dead sheep toadie standards. The reason is they know that Ron Paul is a REPUBLICAN, running as a LIBERTARIAN, running as a REPUBLICAN to fool the clowns (not much brighter than you) who are fed up with the failures associated with our current Presidunce but won't vote Democratic(afraid of liberal-moderate cooties) into believing(falsely) that they are voting for change.

Ron Paul is the guy who runs demonstrates that you have to be consequent with your beliefs. You can't be either authoritarian or freedom lover only for your convenience, because the slippery slope comes sooner or later.

Oh, c'mon, this is Ron Paul...at least he's more honest about the "libertarianism for me, authoritarianism for you" attitude than most in the LP, but why are the fundies complaining? He's anti-choice, anti-gay-rights, supports ditching public education in favor of religious indoctrination, takes a line (very close to the "prosperity gospel" fundies) that poor people deserve to suffer and/or die, and thinks free access to the means of communication is a violation of free speech. Sounds right up their alley, really.
