As was mentioned in the movie Over the Hedge, a turtle is not an amphibian, but a reptile. It's a common mistake.

That's pretty sad, when a cartoon movie about animals stealing food in the suburbs holds more scientific information than a post on the Internet.

A turtle is a reptile.

Anyway,they are related(distantly) to fishes, you just have to look at their DNA. You can't always prove how closely two species are related by morphology, sometimes you have to look at the DNA.
