Quote# 30691

Church founder Fred Phelps said the church would appeal the decision, adding it would "take about five minutes to reverse that thing."

"This will elevate me to something important," Phelps told reporters. "This was an act of futility."

Later, Phelps said the case was about "putting a preacher on trial for what he preaches."

"All it was, was a protestation by the government of the United States against the word of God. They don't want me preaching that God is punishing the country by killing their servicemen."

I think it has the do with the fact that no law protects you or anyone from using someone's funeral for a picketing campaign you colossal douche.

Tempus

No, it's because a grieving father sued you and won. If the government had wanted you silenced, they'd have shut you down years ago. Welcome to the wonderful world of civil law, fucknugget.

May you lose it all in the takedown and watch as it gets turned into a fuckin' bathhouse.

Last time I checked, it was Iraqi insurgents killing your servicemen. I hope when you die, hundreds of people come to shit on your grave.

You were disbarred before 1980, which explains that you're not aware of the crime of HARASSMENT.

No, they just don't want you harassing people during a private funeral. Is that so difficult to understand?

I'd donate to that cause. I have a feeling it'd have a "mysterious short" in the wiring as he leaves though.

Nothing you do, including finding a cure for cancer, could elevate you to anything other than a walking pile of corroded moose shit.

Not being an american, I was not aware of this Phelps fellow, but he has to be one of the most horrible human beings I have met or heard of.

And the fact that he thinks it will "elevate" him, or that he actually preaches that God is punishing the country by killing people, it makes me really want to puke.

"Church founder Fred Phelps said the church would appeal the decision, adding it would "take about five minutes to reverse that thing."

I thought the decision was against Ayatollah Phelps, not the church, if you can call the Phelps gang a church.

"This will elevate me to something important," Phelps told reporters.

Like a turd?

"This was an act of futility."

Naw. That's the appeal.

Later, Phelps said the case was about "putting a preacher on trial for what he preaches."

Translated: Later, Phelps said the case was about "putting an Ayatollah on trial..."

"All it was, was a protestation by the government

[i.e. the sane, decent people of the USA]

of the United States against the word of God.

Against the Ayatollahs twisted version of...the supposed W.O.G.

They don't want me preaching

preaching = Ayatollahing]

that God is [ in Fred's twisted view]punishing the country by killing their servicemen."

Shouldn't 'their servicement' be OUR servicemen? Whose side is he on?

It'll probably stop the flights crisscrossing the country to protest shit, but I am sure they can continue their mission of trolling IRL. Declare bankruptcy, pass 'go', collect 200 persecution points, blah blah.

The best response is either nothing at all, or do the opposite of what they want without ever acknowledging them.
