Clearly the democrats are more concerned with joking around than with the serious business of running our country. Which is why the power should remain in the hands of the responsible republicans.
There are many issues at hand that are no joking matter. The war against barbaric terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan, and around the globe. The plots of the other two members of the axis of evil to kill Americans. The assault on the sanctity of marriage by homosexual deviants. The daily murder of innocent infants by their own mothers through an evil process called abortion, which should really be called infanticide. The crisis of marriage whereby couples ignore biblical law and are divorcing at an alarming rate.
It is sickening that there is even a debate to elect the democrats.

Yes, they're not concerned at all with Iraq and terrorism, that's why they're asking for the end of that absurd war, which has fuelled the terrorist, by the way(and to loosen the ties with Saudi Arabia, that Bush so meekly makes and fuels real terrorism), or with homosexual marriage, that's why their taking the side of homosexuals, or abortion, that's why they want more welfare and sex education, which is closely interconnected(in case you're wondering)or the divorce rate, which alarming in regions called "the Biblical Belt"(where people apparently are taking the Bible so seriously that they're ignoring the NT and favouring Leviticus, quite permissive on that)
Yeah, I agree, the Republicans are responsible. They're responsible for getting us into a pointless and illegal war. They're responsible for degrading our image world-wide. They're responsible for the Patriot Act. They're responsible for tax breaks for the rich. They're responsible for the FEMA diasaster in New Orleans. And on and on and on.
The crisis of marriage whereby couples ignore biblical law and are divorcing at an alarming rate.
Only one major Republican candidate is still married to his original spouse. As far as I know, all the Dems are.
"Clearly the GOPers are more concerned with running their private companies, stealing from taxpayers, and lining their pockets than with the serious business of running our country. Which is why the power should remain in the hands of the responsible democrats .
There are many issues at hand that are no joking matter. The illegal war against nonexistent terrorists in Iraq. The plots of the GOP loonies to scare Americans into playing along . The assault on the sanctity of human rights by homophobic morons . The daily murder of other human rights by mysoginistic non- mothers through an evil process called anti- abortionism , which should be called homo cide once you take the shit like abortion clinic firebombings into account. The crisis of fundieism whereby lunatics twist biblical law and are being morons at an alarming rate.
It is sickening that there is even a debate to elect the republicans .

PHIX'D! :D
No Democrats running hte country? But they are not in power. It's the government's job to run the country. So any messes are the responsibility of the government, iIsn't that so? And who are the government? Why the Republicans of course.
So clearly you want one part government. That's what Communism was all about, no?
Barbaric terrorists in Iraq? Now how did they get there? They certainly wheren't allowed under the regime of Saddam Hussein. Who has been responsible for running IRaq of late - the Government, of course. the Republicans. Same ones. Brilliant!
Sanctity of marriage? It's a contract first and foremost. that's why you have to sign a legal paper. So the gays come along and get between the husband and wife and split them up, is that what you are saying? I don't think so. If you are honest, you would have to admit that married people are the ones who are destroying marriage. Married people are the ones who get divorced. Gays don't even get a look in.
And isn't it strange, the Orthodox church allows divorce - wait for it - based on Biblical approval!
But where do the democrats come into this.
Know what, you come across to me as a bigoted, ignorant and utterly stupid person who should have got an education before a computer.
Another point occurs to me - thought raised by this posting:
Since this person is so keen on just one party rule, perhaps my fears of Bush staging a Reichstag Event (Hitler's excuse to take dictator's power in Germany), are not so far-fetched. Would Sonny Bush be capable of the same to have reason to suspend the constitution and stay on in power? (Think, Musharrif has just done it in Pakistan.) And it would free him of any fear of impeachment at a later stage.... Watch out for this time next year, if you live in America. Certainly seems like he's have some supporters in this.

1) If you can't joke about serious matters, you have a serious problem.
2) Barbarianism is relative. Terrorism is universal. We must look in a mirror before we look out the window.
3) Homosexuals aren't attacking the sanctity of marriage. If anything, they're reinforcing it by making it their goal. If it threatens your marriage, maybe your marriage was not that solid to begin with.
4) It's not infanticide until they're infants. That requires birth. It's a clean line.
5) Forcing unhappy people to stay married to each other is based on an archaic moral foundation.
All of this bad stuff has been taking place with the Republicans in power.
* The War on Terror. Some people will swallow anything.
* Some day you'll have to explain to me how the marriage of a homosexual couple affects my own traditional marriage in any way, shape or form.
* There is no infant until after birth. Send a self-addressed, stamped envelope and I'll tell you the stages of human gestation.
* There's a crisis in marriage? But I thought our God-fearing nation is 85% Christian. And here I am, an atheist, about to celebrate our 50th Anniversary.
The assault on the sanctity of marriage by homosexual deviants.
You mean if gays are allowed to marry, I won't be married anymore? Reminds me of an old Rita Rudner joke: "I asked my husband if he wanted to renew our marriage vows. He got all excited ... he thought they had expired!"
Responsible Republicans? The party of Tom Delay, Richard Nixon, and numerous hypocritical closet cases?
Terrorists in Iraq: Our fault. Terrorists in Afghanistan: Well, no one else wants the place, and the Taliban are islamist as well.
The Axis of Evil: A rhetorical flourish, and a pathetic one at that. Beyond that, it does not exist.
Gay marriage: What do you care? It doesn't affect your marriage.
Abortion: Reasonable people can disagree. You are not reasonable.
Divorce: The fear of divorce, IMHO, is highly overrated.
"Only one major Republican candidate is still married to his original spouse. "
And wouldn't that be the Mormon, and Mormons aren't "real" Christians?
Just once I would like an explanation of how homosexuals campaigning for the right to marry the spouse of their choice is going to damage the marital state of heterosexuals. It seems like fundies have a terrible fear that if gays get to marry, it means they have to be treated like everyone else. And we can't have that.
I totally agree with your last sentence. As royally as the GOP has fucked up the economy, murdered Iraqis and our own young people for their supporters "blood money war profits", and lied to the American people at every turn, I think that it is totally sickening that any right-wing Republican incumbent should even place his name forward for election.PS Most are to busy hiding from their parties failed policies and lies to even think about debating the Democrats.
We could vote Republicans and let them do whatever they want, or we could vote Democrats, who still will do whatever they want, but at least they pretend to care about the people.
What we really need is a democracy.
Confused?
