That area of the world is supposed to be the cradle of Western civilization. The garden of Eden was supposed to be located there.
And you want to nuke it in the name of your god?
He's going to be so pissed at you...
Praise the lord and get to the fallout shelters!
The nuclear winter of peace!
We all know that they want Iran nuked because it'll "Start the Rapture".
God is love, and right now he'd love for me to turn you all into base components.
Did I get the gist of it?
Good Lord.
In this situation, I think we peacefully need to help the people get rid of their government, since a lot of citizens there are dissatisfied with their rulers. They do have potential to become a big player in the world stage. It's just the asshat ayatollahs who are getting in the way.
Delirium : agreed. This is the real reason why the Mullahs and Imams of the middle-east decry Western Culture at every turn -- they're afraid people might start to LIKE it, and realize that things like refrigerators and antibiotics and mechanized manufacturing are better for them than a blind adherence to the Koran.
"Let us do evil that good may come?" From somewhere around Romans 8:6 i believe.
"You have all heard 'an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth' but when someone slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other" -Jesus Christ
How do you kill billions of people in the name of peace on Earth?
You do know that they want to nuke you for the exact same reason, don't you?
pfft, why use a multi-million dollar weapon, and risk a public relations disaster, when we can starve them to death with nice, cheap, publicly approved, media-friendly sanctions. Goddamn righties, they just don't understand economics or foreign policy.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
