Before discounting the Flood, modern science should humbly remember that if we were only to trust its explanatory models and predictions the Pyramids would be an historical impossibility. But there they are, for all to see, still driving evolutionary scientists crazy after all these years.

yeah, cause we dont know how they did it. with the slaves and the limestone, and the moving of the blocks, and yeah. boggles my mind.
I don't think scientists have any problem at all with the Pyramids -- massive pools of off-season labor, skidding the blocks on mud, taking advantage of the Nile flooding to float the blocks down the river.
Now the Von Danikens and Velikovskys of the world, they have a persistent problem with it. There's a lot of racism and argument from incredulity in "alternative" history circles.
The pyramids are quite easily explained. For many years it was assumed they were built by slaves. However, during those days there was not enough people to support a slave population that large, which is why many now believe that the Pyramids were a popular, voluntary project for their King/God Pharaoh.
Would that really surprise a fundie?
Wtf?
The pyramids were built by a city full of skilled laborers and craftsmen who were paid on the Pharoah's dollar - er, whatever their currency was - and individuals who were foremen/planners/etc had tombs in the city.
What about the pyramids would drive evolutionary scientists crazy?
Erm, no. There are pictures and eyewitness accounts of how the Pyramids were built.
Why would they drive evolutionary scientists crazy? I'd think anthropologists and engineers would be more interested in the Pyramids than biologists would be.
Whose explanatory models and predictions are we only to trust? The Flood's? The Bible's? Modern Science's?
We trust to observable reality.
So pyramids are biological entities now? Does it work like this: If a papa-pyramid and a mama-pyramid like each other very much, the papa-pyramid puts his capstone into the mama-pyramid’s base, and a few months later they get a litter of mastabas.
Are different kinds of pyramids different species or can Egyptian pyramids mate with Sudanese ones? And what about the South American ones? Are they related or is that a case of convergent evolution?
It seems there are many questions the field of Darwinian bio-pyramidism has yet to answer!
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
