"I saw a commercial today about this show and my son and I were sitting there and I said to him the biggest flaw in this theory is that if we evolved from Ape's/baboon's then why are they still in existance today? would they not have evolved too. HE said yep it's stupid."
As opposed to, say, the perfect - and scientifically credible - notion of we being related to a dirt-man and a rib-woman, amirite? Therefore...:
If we indeed are descended from a dirt-man, why is there still dirt?
And you see no flaw in this theory? Then you wonder why Judge John E. Jones III - a Christian Conservative like you - ruled for the plaintiffs in Kitzmiller vs. Dover. And the Creationist side had far more credible evidence & testimony, via Michael Behe.
You were such a loss to that legal team in 2005, Trusting. [/sarcasm]

And that theory about the American Revolution? You know, if Americans came from Englishmen, why are there still Englishmen?
Thanks for this great argument! I was on the lookout for an incisive, spot-on argument against "When-we-evolved-from-apes-why-are-there-still-apes?" for ages. Another fine weapon in my arsenal fighting creationistic weirdness."
One could go as far as to suggest (and just as credibly) that if homosexuals came from heterosexuals having sex, why are there still heterosexuals?
Wow, this is a fun game!
