Sai Baba isn't really a God man. He, and others like him, are no more impressive than Benny Hinn. Somehow though I think you'd believe Benny Hinn and his ilk are the real deal.

So, standing in front of a camera in a mega church and soliciting little old ladies to send you their pension check makes you a real holy man because you're Christian yet a Hindu holy man is a demon. Right.

You twit. It's simple physics with a bit of physiology thrown in. Skin is largely composed of water; water doesn't conduct heat well; blood flow through the feet carries what little heat there is away from the sole of the foot; the feet stay only seconds (at most) on the coals before being lifted which cools them further. The coals generally have a layer of ash also which is a really poor conductor of heat and the coals tend to be raked repeatedly throughout the preparation part, making an uneven layer, which means even less surface area of the foot is actually in direct contact with the coals. That's the basics.

If we were still in the Dark Ages, it would be understandable that people would attribute such things as fire walking to demons. But, hello, it's the 21st century and it's clear that these idjits have Internet access. So why don't they use it to Google up some information on things that have them perplexed?
