UGH I CAN'T STAND PEOPLE LIKE THIS.
What, are you so insecure in your beliefs that you can't even see a movie with different opinions without being afraid?
....The Mist kicked ass.
And there was no sex scene in Beowulf.
And we don't need Hollywood to make any movies targeting Islams. You guys are doing a great job with that already.
Fundies are a plague on this world.

Islamic stereotypes? See: 24.
I suggest you put down the Stand, now. Or you'll be horrified at King's take on the apocalypse.

Beowulf is a preChristian epic poem. What about that can't you people understand? On the plus side (for you), Catholic monks translated it and put lots of references to God and Satan in there to make Beowulf a "Christian" hero. Go do some research.

Why don't you just stay home, then, and watch "Veggietales" DVDs? Oh wait, they're evil now, too.

Beowulf was not Anti-Christian, and there was no sexual content aside from Angelina Jolie's awesome boobs.

Which weren't even her boobs since they were designed off of a body double.

Just rent a stack of fuck-films for the weekend and chill. I recommend movies featuring lots of oral, bukakke, fisting, and maybe some golden showers. Ah what the hell, see if you can get something featuring goats too. I'll bring the beer.

Norse mythology! Oh noes it's anti-Christain!
The Mist is about aliens so that's out of the question.
And I haven't seen The Golden Compass but it sounds good.

Expelled, that intelligent design movie that no one saw, is coming out soon on DVD, or you can rent something from those DVD-rental companies that edit out sex, drugs, violence, and curse words.

The Mist movie version, completely diverges from the original story. In fact in caused a minor controversy amongst King fans who do not agree with the changes.
The debate in the supermarket IS the story. I thought it was pretty interesting to examine human nature in an isolated setting. A la Lord of the Flies.
If you really payed attention, it wasn't anti-christian at all. The themes of blood sacrifice of the innocent, "blood pays for all" are very biblical. If you noticed the 'flat earthers' who would not believe, despite the evidence walked out to their doom.

"Can't go see Beowulf cause of its anti-Christian slams"
"it's get'n old for me trying to find a decent film anymore that doesn't have some kind of anti-Christian agenda. I mean for crying out loud I can't even see the Golden Compass, even if it is watered-down."
A suggestion: whatever you do, DON'T watch "Monty Python's Life of Brian" or "Dogma". If you think Beowulf or Golden Compass are Anti-Christian, your head would explode at the way religion is satirised in the former two. And savagely too.
Blasphemy is a victimless crime anyway.

It's not Christianity that's on the block, it's the fundamentalists and their mindless followers.
Muslims, and Communists and Eastern folks have been the bad guys in tons and tons of movies for decades. It's sort of fundamentalist Christians turn now.
Hey, you can do your own "fade to black" thing, just close your eyes when they get going. That's what I do with needless maiming and killing; I find those things much more offensive than just a bit of sex.

Actually, i don't think this one is really that bad. The guy's upset that his religions is being made fun of. It's a little excessive, but nothing compared to most of what's on this site.

Oh but you're just fine with someone making fun of Islam or perhaps Judaism right? Like so many others, you can dish it but can't take it.
