Quote# 31780

I don't believe in donating your organs, etc to save a life. I might get shot here.. but I think sometimes humans tend to play God. If it is our time to go... then we should go. I know my opinion is probably one that would be classified in left field... but I don't think it is right to donate an eye, heart, lung, kidney, etc... call me selfish... but I came in the world with what God gave me.. and I'm going out with what He gave me.

Mangy Mathan

Too bad you didn't pick up anything while you were here.

Wow. Awesomely selfish. Maybe God intended you to die so you could donate your heart to save a kid...ever think of that?

2/26/2008 5:59:19 AM

Maybe I wanted you to donate an organ?
Ever thought about that you moron?

2/28/2008 5:39:24 AM

>"I might get shot here"

Dare to dream.

>"call me selfish"

You're selfish. How very Xian of you, you uncompassionate pile o' crap.

2/28/2008 5:51:38 AM

Why do I get the feeling that if you needed an organ, you'd take it in a heartbeat?

2/28/2008 6:15:54 AM

You'll sing a different tune come the day your liver fails because it can no longer detoxify all the bullshit in your system.

2/28/2008 7:58:14 AM

In the likely event that you do get shot, you won't accept a blood transfusion I suppose.

2/28/2008 8:48:14 AM

why would someone who by definition believes in the eternity of their soul get so hung up on what's done with the leftovers once their soul's done with it, this is nothing but selfish queasiness dressed up with religion to try to justify it

2/28/2008 8:52:44 AM

Fine, that's your right. But I do hope you end up needing an organ sometime in your life, and none is available.

5/28/2008 2:40:13 AM

You came into this world with 5 brain cells, you'll leave with the same amount.

Crazy Fundie

Idiot. Whether you've a soul or not, your organs are just rotting meat after you're dead. Give them to people who need them, you selfish prick! It's not like you're using them anymore.

Since you're against medical intervention that might save your life following a traumatic car accident, a bout of cancer, or even the flu, you're probably going to die quite young. I'm sure your pristine liver or one of your kidneys could go to someone who actually wants to use them, as opposed to someone who creams his jeans at the thought of the world ending.

5/28/2008 4:54:44 AM

Damn selfish prick.

Philbert McAdamia

'stoo bad - somewhere there is probably a turtle or a slug that could benefit by a brain transplant from your largesse.

5/28/2008 7:27:42 AM

That is incredibly selfish. I thought Christians were supposed to yano, give of themselves? What's organ donation but a perfect expression of that?

*is a proud non-Christian organ donor*

5/28/2008 7:55:47 AM

Chapter and verse, dickhead.

By your logic, God wouldn't want you to take medicine, clean wounds or help the wounded.

But of course, it's at the point of organ donation that human responsibility ends and the divine will starts.

5/28/2008 9:25:20 AM

No you're not. Whatever you think about life after death doesn't alter the fact that your body will either be burned or rot away for years underground. Why not let someone make use of what you won't have any use for?

Quantum Mechanic

There is no god.
But there obviously are idiots.
Perhaps you'll be mugged and your kidneys stolen.

If Jesus turned a whip on the money changers in the temple, On you, CelticMist, he would turn a machine gun. Ignorant, selfish, arrogant bastard.

When I die, they are going to gut me like a fish and use whatever they can get their hands on. It's not like I'm gonna be around to see what happens anyway.

The Lazy One

Selfish bitch.

Tired Christian

Do blood transfusions count? How about bone marrow? Where is the limitation? Okay, how about not using medicine to keep you body 'pure', is that a good idea? Remember, you need to find some common ground here and work out the limit. Don't write stupid comments without at east thinking through the limitations of said comment.

Blaidd Drwg (Bad Wolf)

Is it too much to hope that this tool develops a condition that can ONLY be cured by his receiving a transplant - preferably from an Atheist?
