Hillary Duff is hardly the worst role model in the world -- she's classy and stays out of trouble. She's not a great one, though, as she really doesn't have much going.
On the other hand, I fail to see how Jessica Simpson produces anything other than wank fodder, and Britney is... just Britney. Britney is only a role model for melodramatic transsexuals with camcorders and YouTube accounts, no one else.
1) "Wicca" (If by that you mean an interest in magic and Goddess worship) has been popular with young girls for aeons. Example: The Salem Witch Hunts. These began when a servant woman taught two young girls "fortune telling", and they became convinced she had invoked demons upon them.
2) Britney Spears, Hilary Duff, and Jessica Simpson are not Wiccans, nor are they very good feminists. They reinforce all sorts of negative stereotypes.
3) Sociologists do recognize a link between feminism and the rise in modern Goddess worship religions. So what? Wicca isn't any more stupid that your religion Davey.
4) I think most teenage girls become interested in "wicca" because of shows liked "Charmed". So why not campaign to get that shit cancelled?
Regardless of whether all that shit is true or not, or whether David even knows what he's talking about, I still fail to see what kind of point he's trying to make.

Okay, there *are* more feminist sects of Wicca, but that isn't all of Wicca/Paganism. Some religions are just fads, it doesn't really mean anything. I was interested in Wicca for about 5 minutes as a teen, but it faded rather quickly.

Nobody wants to join a religion where they're treated like second class citizens, if given the chance, let alone if that suggestion comes from their benefitiaries.
If Wicca is popular with teenage girls (read: white suburban teenage girls from primarly protestant/catholic families) that would be because their home religion teaches them that women are weak, inferior, and subservient to men, while Wicca teaches women that they have the power to tap into magic and other stuff.
