There also was a time when isolating aids carriers was thought to be a good idea. Aids is a political football. It used to be called GRID....gay related immuno deficienct desease. The gays didn't like that, so the name was changed.
Our blood supply is screened to avoid aids contaminated blood from corrupting the supply. So you can thus see the danger that is present.
Aids could be wiped out if only.......men would stop exchanging body fluids with each other.
But no. Man must have his perversion and then demand a treatment be developed for the consequences of his perversion.

And donated blood is screened for a lot of blood-transmitted diseases, not just AIDS.
Try learning the basic facts about the disease before spouting off idiotic comments.
One thing you have demonstrated you are completely ignorant of: the disease didn't begin in the US, it began among the heteralsexual population in Africa.
It was sheer chance that it started in the homosexual population in this country first. And drug users, and hemopheliacs, and (for some odd reason) Hatians.
But of course, people like you have never understood that there is, in fact, a world outside the USA.
They changed the name from GRID to AIDS because Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome describes it much better. Why? First, because anybody can catch HIV not gay people. Second, because it takes time for you to get the symptoms of aids.

AIDS blood is screened because blood is the mean of contracting the illness. Otherwise, except semen and vaginal liquid(and we all know how's transmitted that way), they pose no problem. And well, should I vote such a misinformed idiot?
Isolating HIV carriers?, more than half of them would be heterosexuals and, in the case of Africa, children and guys who needed blood transfusion. And by the way, they screen blood samples to avoid hepatitis and other illnesses too, not just AIDS.
We are just paying for our careless days for free love. People just having sex without the thoughts of what they could be passing on to others happens in both gays and hetrosexuals. One side alone is not the blame for this but ignorance is.
Take the time to learn more about the disease and ways to prevent it before casting blame on which group of people may be guilty.

Anal sex spreads HIV faster because there is "damage". The colon is designed to exchange fluids more easily than the vagina since thats its original role. So the combo of blood and fluid exchanges makes it more susceptible.
So if we compare "good ole missionary eyes front hetrosex" to "unnatural gay sex" it seems that gay sex has a higher infection rate of HIV (I.e say if 10 people sleep with someone with HIV maybe 7 will get it with anal sex instead of 5 with hetrosexual sex)
This is skewing the fact that straight men also take part in anal sex. And that HIV is more prevalent in "hetrosexuals" since the homosexual movement decided to take prevention measures enmasse while we hetrosexuals like idiots carried on thinking them safe. [sarcasm]After all "gay people" are never married and never have kids...[sarcasm]
The headline ought to be about anyone in our day and age actually talking about "sin" as though it was a valid concept.

AIDS is not a male gay only disease. It's now spread fastest among heterosexual people in Africa. So, men refraining from exchanging body fluids with each other would not wipe AIDS out. Woman has her perversions too, and gay and straight sex are very similar, the only difference is the genders involved.
That treatment is now so effective, that if you take it regularly, you are not contagious and you don't get full-blown AIDS.
Children who have AIDS are usually born to parents with AIDS, which completely destroys your argument that only gay people get AIDS.
