It was because of atheism that I reached a logical conclusion that allowed me to lose my compassion for other people. I realize that not everyone who holds an atheistic belief will follow that belief to its logical end, and/or act upon that conclusion if it is eventually reached. The only way I can logically see me losing my compassion for people again is if I lose my faith.

We’re a gregarious species. We evolved to empathize with other members of the species. It’s religion that teaches that some people deserve to burn in Hell.

Need to see the logical steps that you took to get here. I have the doubt. I think you’re just strawmanning to attack atheism.

When kids go through army bootcamp, there’s a major effort to demonize the ‘enemy’ to get people to shoot them. Far as i have ever heard, there’s no general difference between the faithful or the atheists.

Right now it’s the faithful that couldn’t give two shits if a woman dies because she can’t get an abortion. Again, need to see your logic. I think you presuppose that atheists are amoral, thus your logic is just backtracking to the start.
