1. Now, whilst the current Pope may have been part of Hitler Youth - he, and his family didn't approve. But, in that era, you really had no choice. It was either that, or imprisonment.

Technically, Catholics are blood-drinkers (and cannibals). The doctrine of transubstantiation states that the bread and wine used in the Mass literally turn into the body and blood of Christ... one of the main differences between them and Protestants, as I recall.
But I doubt ElijahFailing knows any of that.
