well for me, its a no no. because when i start listening to metallica, element eighty, killswitch engage, and all that stuff, it does something in me. it makes me want to rebel. im not talking about going crazy and spreading anarchy, im talking about it makes me want to do drugs and do everything the Lord would be unpleased with. music is a very powerful thing. dont underestimate it.

Funny, those of us who aren't delusional have NONE of the urges you describe, just from listening to music.
And since when does Metallica's music encourage - or even talk about - drug use?
I think maybe prisonersetfree's crazy, or lying.
Oh, wait, it's RR... he's crazy AND lying.
I wonder how this dumb bastard would cope if he ever heard Mayhem, Immortal, Emperor, Weakling, Wolves In The Throne Room, Forgotten Tomb, and other black metal bands? Maybe, if music's so powerful, we should crank some suicidal black metal outside fundie churches ...
Well I only recognize one band name there, Metallica. Hearing that stuff usually makes me *very* willingly CHANGE THE STATION.
I don't have to change my playlist, it has plenty of the music I actually like.
Well I suppose if you're raised to be completely unthinking and unquestioning of authority many things can be dangerous to listen to. You should make sure you stay safe, only listen to things not likely to affect you in any way, there's a charming young Christian crooner you should check out called GG Allin, he does nice songs the whole family can enjoy.
It is not satanic, that music. Just crappy. :D Which is not the same thing, for then, Satan would probably be Michael Bay...
Metallica? Killswitch Engage?
Fucking weak.
Rammstein, Until I Bleed Dry, Three Days Grace, Lamb of God, SOAD, Nickleback, Nirvana, TOOL, and maybe The Bled.
Seriously, I had to turn Killswitch Engage off because it was too screamo for me. (Has anyone ever even heard of "Element Eighty"?)
"it makes me want to rebel". It's a good thing, y'know.
Oh BTW, Try turmion kätilöt, it makes your ears bleed.
Ummm, heard of StraightEdge you Fundie Asshat? I've been listening to Metallica since 1983 and have yet to smoke, drink, or do drugs and I turn 39 this weekend. If Emperor, Cradle of Filth, Eye Hate God, Fear Factory, One King Down, Judge, Megadeth, Mozart, Bach, or any other music I listen to ever had the power to make me do something I didn't think was right I'd know it's time to check out. Weak minded Fundie punk... grow a brainstem you sheep.
You are way too easily swayed, then, because Metallica and Killswitch Engage don't have any songs that make specific reference to doing drugs, etc.
And Element Eighty are a pretty wimpy rock group, too.
When I hear "Better by you, better than me" by Judas Priest backwards, and Rob Halford tells me to "do it"...
... I start cleaning my room O_o
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
