It says God on our money. Therefore, God exists.

Obviously, god did not exist prior to the mid-1950s when the McCarthyites persuaded the government that putting "In God we Trust" on currency would somehow defeat the evil commies.

why did the USA, which was founded by educated classicists, change their motto from a fine quote from Virgil, E Pluribus Unum, to that tasteless meaningless "in god we trust" crap?. Talk about dumbing down.

Caps-lock love affair. Also, the Christian extremists have hijackes E Pluribus Unum, and replaced it with a statement of their own superstition.

Thank you, Cindy Clay. I, in turn, hope that someday you will overcome your caps lock mania and re-join the human race.

obviously "CINDY CLAY" is so full of faith (or at least something that smells close) that she even needs to capitalize her name.
And to challenge you, dear CINDY, I read the bible once a year. I take notes, I consider it critically. It's one of the reasons *why* I'm an atheist. Please at least talk to the people you declaim as unholy before you accuse them of ignorance.

Yes, it says "In God We Trust" on the currency. There are also many Masonic symbols on the currency. Is god a freemason, then? Should we all become 33rd degree freemasons? Your logic fails.

That must mean money is your g0d, and your individual spending power is your degree of closeness to your g0d.
E PLURIBUS UNUM, bitch! It is also on the one-dollar bill, on the obverse of the Great Seal.
Aside from topical research, I rejected the bible shortly after the time I learned to read.

The money also has a pyramid and a dead guy on it, neither of which are in America. Not that specific pyramid anyway. I dunno if the US has pyramids.....

According to Alan Frederick at Oxford University, "E pluribus unum" is Latin for "one out of many," or, "from many, one." Never codified by law, it was considered a de facto motto of the United States until 1956

Such a nice sweet, well-spoken lady, is she hard of hearing, why is she shouting?PSWhy do fundies insist on believing that reading the Bible immeadiately converts everyone into a Christian? It usually doesn't, and quite honestly, I know a lot of non-Christians who have read more of the Bible than a lot of Christian fundies.

So, if they decide to change the money and put "Johny went to the railway", should you do the same(specially, since that motto was added in the fifties)?. This idiot has to learn the meaning of SOCIAL CONVENTION.

WRONG! E Pluribus Unum means "one out of many" (as in one nation from many states). That's the kind of thing they teach in third grade in public schools. And, if I hadn't learned it then, I would have looked it up instead of making a fool of myself by posting false (and easily refutable) "information" in this comments thread. You do have access to the Internet, it appears, so you have no excuse.
But, thank you for giving me this opportunity to quote Spock:

Jezebel, i don't listen to Mr Spock. He's the Devil! Those pointy ears, and that terrible child rearing advice! You need to read my good friend Jack Hybels books on child rearing! there was no greater man of God in the 20th century, except for maybe Jack Chick.
