in this case then, there can be no such thing as SIN, since everything is constrained by the Almighty
duhhh! fail first year philosophy
During the Vietnam War, people tried to tell war protesters the same thing about the US Constitution's First Amendment: you have "freedom of speech", but that doesn't mean you can criticize the government.
ElijahFalling: Then I could also say that you are capable of thinking, so long as it's within your religion's confines of what is true and right. The only difference is, I'm fairly certain my argument is right.
CausticGnostic: No matter how wide the margins are, limits to free thinking mean that thinking is no longer free. Limits to free will mean will is no longer free.
So you're saying that god wants murder, genocide, rape and pedophilia? I always knew he was sick, twisted fuck.
Then you assholes have no need to bitch about evolution, atheists, homosexuals, communists, catholics, masturbation, pre-marital sex, liberals, muslims, feminists, witches...and all the other people and activities that turn you peckerheads into Nazis.
It's God's Will that they are what they are.
@Approximate, you forgot dancing!
@Ponder, the only limits the Deity set on us are our biological ones.
Dancing! How could I forget about that evil, heathen activity?
Thanks for the reminder, Caustic Gnostic. :)
It's been said, but to reiterate
War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength, blackwhite.
ElijahFalling needs to check the definition of "free will", methinks.
Though this is a perfect entry for the Fundy Word Redefinition Project.
And as long as my free will doesn't conflict with my philosophy of 'Treat others as you would want them to treat you', 'I wouldn't like being killed/harmed, nor have my property stolen/damaged', 'Commit acts of gratuitous kindness' and 'Be good for goodness' sake', then of your own 'Free Will', ElijahFalling & your so-called 'God':
