I'll agree with you there. I was actually looking at posts on YouTube, searching under the title "rapture." A lot of good things came up, but there are plenty of posts from atheists who actually WANT the Christians to be raptured so the rest of the world can not be bothered by all of our "preaching and telling them how to live." I was floored! It also told me that they are not true atheists in that sense because they believe there will be a rapture, so there must be a God to rapture the church. They just want us beievers out of the way!

No, I'm hoping for the Rapture because I'm out of sporting clays and I figured some of you fat, pasty, neckid Republican types would be fun to blast out of the sky with my 12 gauge.
Just because we want you to drink the koolaid for a little peace and quiet doesn't mean we believe it'll whisk you up to the flying saucers or gawd or whatever.
We're just sick of the violence and hatemongering, is all.
None or them really believe the rapture, but we do like to partake in fairy tales once in a while. The difference is,,,, We know it's a fairy tale.

This tells me you are a clueless idiot.
It has often been suggested (jokingly, I presume) that rapturists should just kill themselves now to avoid disappointment at the end of a long, wasted life. What's holding many of them back is that they think they should spend this "waiting period" evangelizing more souls into their faith before it's too late.
Therefore, considering their gullibility and stupidity, I have a suggestion that might shut them up and help move them on their way. Whenever the opportunity arises, atheists, agnostics, and other infidels should just do what the majority of christians already do - tell the rapture-ready that you "believe" (even though you really think it's a loud of bullhockey). Glory!
Personally, I don't like jokes like this, because, let's face it, they are this (intentionally) stupid. It seems to me the best strategy is to continuously repeat: "No, being an atheist in fact means we do not believe in your god." It has almost no effect at all, but I think it's perhaps possible to make some very slow progress. However the instant you make the smallest joke about it, a huge chunk of the progress is undone and they'll say: "See, they are just Satan worshippers after all." It is very difficult to reason with a person, who doesn't want to listen.
But on the other hand, who cares?

Since Christians are supposed to be lifted bodily into the sky when the Rapture occurs, isn't there a danger that they'll run into aircraft?
What happens if a raptured Christian gets sucked into a jet intake or runs into the main rotor of a helicopter? :-O

No it's just taking the fantasy and extrapolating it to meeet our heartfelt desire that the fundies leave us the FUCK alone
Bearing in mind you guys walk around like zombies, moaning about the horrid state of affairs...not taking the time to help make things BETTER mind you (and not by preaching about the sins of the world...actually rolling up your sleeves, getting your hands dirty, HELPING)...and chanting to the sky "TAKE ME NOW JESUS! MAKE IT ALL END!" Tell me why we should WANT you around?
