No, religion isn't about trying to prove science wrong. The Bible itself is a science book, accurate in every way.

This makes me ashamed to be part of DeviantART. Oh well, I suppose artists can be fundies too.
And yeah: pi = 3, rabbits chew cud, insects have four legs, you can make striped animals by making non-striped animals stare at fences while mating, snakes can talk, people live for 900 years etc etc etc...
I cannot believe I just read that. Nah, it's 3 in the morning here. I must be dreaming.

Oh god it's true.....
Evolution isn't about trying to prove god wrong. Evolution itself is a religion, accurate in every way.
No, it doesn't make any sense that way either.
I've never even heard of a single Fundy claiming this crap before. A new low!
Anyway, I can see plenty of uses for the Bible in science class - and every single one involves a bunsen burner.
The Bible claims bats are birds, despite evidence to the contrary. It hasn't updated at all.
That's not very scientific.
Absolutely true!
Insects have 4 legs just like the Bible says they do.
Just count them..
One, two, Three, four. five..
Oh shit.
pi=3
Bats are birds
A kind is what, exactly?
@ Amanda
You need a human soul to do that. Anyone who's watched Fullmetal Alchemist would know that ;)
God is infallible
The Bible is the word of God
The King James version of the Bible is written in God's language.
Hertofortofor,
The King James version of the bible is right, and anything that contradicts it is wrong.
P.S. Insects do have 4 legs. The front two are arms.
“Does the evolutionary doctrine clash with religious faith? It does not. It is a blunder to mistake the Holy Scriptures for elementary textbooks of astronomy, geology, biology, and anthropology. Only if symbols are construed to mean what they are not intended to mean can there arise imaginary, insoluble conflicts. As pointed out above, the blunder leads to blasphemy: the Creator is accused of systematic deceitfulness.”
- Theodosius Dobzhansky, evolutionary biologist, geneticist, and Russian Orthodox Christian
Oh yeah, and Maimonides, one of the most influential Jewish thinkers of all time who inspired Thomas Aquinas, said that if science and Torah were in conflict, you would have to readjust Torah to fit science. Considering his people originated the book you read today, I think most people would take his word over yours.
An suffocating silence spread through the room,a brief moment all the scientists in the room stopped working and starred at him , just a brief moment, after that they all went back to their work like nothing had happened
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
