"That's what I will do. When God says something is just or something is evil, I won't try to make sense of it. I'll just accept it, because I don't have the infinite knowledge, I don't see all things."
Wow. How sad that you simply refuse to use the brain that you believe your god put in your head. I suppose if there was a passage in the bible that stated when you reach the age of 40, you were to climb to the top of a very high cliff and jump off, you would do it because God said it.

And because you can't question your own beliefs, that is why you fail. Hell, Jews have questioned their beliefs hundreds of times and have had to be consulted for the answers. There's a giant book (I forget the title) that has why this is that and why you should have your own interpretation.

You don't see all things... including your own God. All you have is a book and a few lunatics.
God created you, right? Including, say, your brain? That amazing thing inside your skull? I'm pretty sure that wasn't meant to be useless like the appendix.

Amazing.
He's using the fact that he has no idea what he's talking about as a reason for listening to him.

I won't say that lying isn't as bad murdering when God clearly says it is.
Yeah, the Bible is full of God saying stupid stuff.

God says burying your talents in the ground is a sin.
He gave you a talent for critical thinking.
If you don't start using it you'll go to hell.

That fine if you want to live with your head in the sand because you think your god wants you to .
.But don't expect me or other like me who don't share this same blind obedience iin any god to do so ..
I have a need and desire to question my universe and to explorer it mysteries ,I like to know why some thing does what it does and what make it do what it does., for me the universe is not about blind obedience and fear its about wonder, and discovery .I need to know the what , and the why ..And your simple fundie answer to all of life troubles ,problems and mysteries "Because god say so "doesn't cut it with me and never will.Sorry fundie unlike you and your kind Me and my kind need to and want to know no matter what i find .
And has for soemthng being Good or evil. That is a human concept and can seldom be used to described a nature or its wonders.

Please... just go away. You can rejoin the human race when you're ready to act like an adult.
Oh, one more thing. You have a seriously warped sense of morality, which needs to be corrected, if you think lying is on par with murder.

I never understand the Parable of the Talents. The two praised servants are the ones who broke the OT laws about usury and the one damned and cast out is condemned for not doing so.
I have a feeling it might be to do with it being OK to lend money at interest to Goyim but not to Jews, but I'm not sure about that.

Hmm. Being *very* generous, I suppose their point *might* be more about not trying to "read God's mind" (a la the asswipes that claim H Katrina = Gawd's loving Smitation on this eebil nashun!!) -- cite: because I don't have the infinite knowledge, I don't see all things. But... probably just another Eedyot 4 Jeezus.
@solomongrundy:
Huh, that's a really good point -- never thought of that! Perhaps everyone had just given up on those particular bits of the law. The wearing of polyester-cotton shirts was the current raging debate; usury was passé.

This intensely reminds me of the line in Shawshank Redemption: "I believe in two things: discipline and the Bible. Here you'll get both. Put your trust in the Lord. Your ass belongs to me."
