Quote# 32839

The US was built by christians. Many people consider the US to be the greatest country in the world. Christian lands tend to have less violence than say, Muslim or Atheist/Socialist/Communist Lands. All school shootings have happened in secular public schools..Even Hitler had atheistic plans for his country(get rid of Judiasm and Christendom)

"All school shootings have happened in secular public schools"

West Nickel Mines School, October 2006. You lose. Dick.

Treaty of Tripoli.

12/25/2007 6:45:55 AM

Hitler was a Christian, honey. Sorry to pop your bubble

And a big booyah to Chicken for beating me to the treaty

12/25/2007 6:53:37 AM

Renton405, your first statement is wrong. Read a history textbook. Your second statement is true and I share the sentiment but it is in no way connected to the first statement. The third statement requires proof and I don't think you have any. The fourth statement is false. Google it and see. And your last statement requires you to open a history book because it is demonstrably false.

A little research would have made you more aware and less of a dipshit, Renton405. A little learning may be dangerous but ignorance just makes you look silly.

Document that claim. Then explain why reality doesn't support your theories.

12/25/2007 7:02:10 AM

Well then, why don't we just put up a big ol' cross complete with bleeding Jesus on the front of every Federal building in the country? We can work on banning all of the other religous views later! All Hail the GREAT AMERICAN THEOCRACY!

12/25/2007 7:14:27 AM

Chi: Thanks. Nobody's ever booyah'd me before.

History Revisionist Award.

Renton, my favourite fundie at the moment.

This IS an 'atheist' (secular) country, and I'd say that its done quite well due to it. You just refuted yourself, now go learn some history.

12/25/2007 8:26:58 AM

Of course Hitler had atheistic plans for his country, that's why he's on record saying he'd never teach atheism (nor evolution, for those that think "Darwinism" had something to do with Nazism). That's why he kept all those Christian churches and pushed for Positive Christianity. He was brilliantly doing the complete opposite of his plans to confuse everyone. I suppose he was also a huge supporter of Jews, homosexuals, communists, gypsies, and political dissidents against the Nazi regime (as well as any other targeted groups I may have left out due to poor memory).

I won't blame all Christians for Hitler or insinuate that they're all like him, but he is one of theirs (by all available information), so they need to accept that. Every group has its assholes.

Reliable statistics over Norway and most European countries(all secular), Jordan(muslim), The Emirates(Muslim)and Japan(secular), say otherwise(although it's true that Pakistan is fairly violent, and so is Algeria). Man, America is one of the more violents countries in the world, together with South Africa and other South American countries. Before making statitics out of your ass or personal wishes, look for reliable sources.

In secular public schools?, bother to explain WHY IN THE BIBLE BELT?

12/25/2007 9:09:49 AM

Darn, I missed the Treaty of Tripoli boat =(

U know, I got ripped of 20..00 by a cab and fare i shared tonight, it is Christmas! I gave 20.00 to a soldier fron CDN forces in Afghanistan. You know what, I feel good! let's just remember what this season is supposed to remind us of! What Jesus' message was really about, was to remember those less fortunate ourselves!

Happy holidays!

12/25/2007 11:19:37 AM

And Jesus said unto them "That which you do unto the least of my bretheren so you do unto me"
Maybe if the fundies would act more like the man they idolize the world would be a better place.

And since your's came from the heart Merry Christmas to you to. "God bless us, every one"

12/25/2007 11:24:08 AM

Wrong. The least violent countries tend to be places like Norway, Japan, etc. America is not the best country in the world by any stretch of the imagination. It may have the strongest economy, but it's health care, education and crime rates and quality of life are generally among the worst of all first world countries.

As for your bullshit about Hitler, well that's just bullshit.

12/25/2007 12:40:03 PM

Fed Up

People believing the US to be the greatest country in the world also tend to be people living there. I wouldn't call their words a fair assessment.

Oh, and Hitler was a Christian, albeit an unusual one.

12/25/2007 1:17:44 PM

You can see the bullshit dripping out of his computer.

12/25/2007 1:21:26 PM

The US was initially colonized in part by persecuted Christians, but that's about it. They didn't really come into prominence until the late 19th century.

I used to think tha the US is the greatest as well. However, having lived here for a few months I've since changed my mind.

CHristian lands ted to have less violence? Dude, even if I take the US as a Christian nation, or just a Christian majority nation, it still is a far bloodier nation than the heathen athiestic countries of Europe.

12/25/2007 1:49:59 PM

@James It may have the strongest economy, but it's health care, education and crime rates and quality of life are generally among the worst of all first world countries.

I would argue against it having the strongest economy... largest yes, but it's getting weaker thanks to the massive debt and ever-increasing defaults on that debt.

12/25/2007 2:29:03 PM

Considering a major one occured in an Amish school, which I would say is NOT secular...you lose, sir!

12/25/2007 2:54:00 PM

America used to be loved worldwide.

Then came the fundie neocons.

12/25/2007 4:00:06 PM

Caustic Gnostic

"Christianity" was never a political party in the US.
