Quote# 33029

The reason why the geologic evidence for the Flood is not seen by geologists and many Christians is not uniformatism. Geology also believed in great catastrophes in the past, like continent shifting, land rising out of the sea and so on. Thats how geologist explain marine fossils on mountains. There are websites - though I won't post them here - where you can look up Geology and geologic explanations for all the phenomena.

No, the reason is even simpler. It's because God removed all the clear evidence that would undoubtedly prove the flood. He only left evidence that could be interpreted in different ways, with or without flood.

He even changed evidence, for instance he gave the different sediment layers in the Grand Canyon different magnetic orientations. This way He suggested that they were deposited during a long time period in which the earth magnetic field changed several times.

No, you will ask - why did God do that? Why did he give geologists the opportunity to interpret the earth history in a different way without the Genesis Flood?

It's because he wants us to believe, not to know. Belief is based on a personal decision. If we had all sorts of evidence proving supernatural events, we wouldn't have this choice anymore. We were force to believe, but God wants our belief be based not of force but on free will and on a personal choice.

Even is we did know he existed, who said we would all go to heaven? You have to WORSHIP him. Maybe I want to worship Satan for a change.

Why? And how do you know this?

Also, the set of facts you cite would be exactly what we would expect if god did not exist. Funny that....

Then he can't really blame us if we happen to choose the rational, evidence based, simpler explanation, can he?

Waitaminnit. Don't you fuckers claim it was t3h Debbil who did this lying, trickery shit? I suspect you either pray to the wrong guy, or he's one and the same; not so much the Ol' Three-in-One as an ordinary schizo.

And: Reword that concept and it would fit anything that isn't real

One of there main arguments for God is how absolutely no proof exists.Somehow they believe this is proof.

The 'God Delusion' was a apt title for Dawkins book
