Following the Rapture, the majority of people will believe that all the "true christians" were left behind and only the "kooky" ones were taken. This will lay a foundation for the formation of the false "church" in the first half of the Tribuation, which will probably be very liberal and "tolerant" in its doctrines.

Anyone who chooses to embrace the true Gospel of those "kooky christians" that were raptured, will be persecuted and hated.

If all the critical, hate-filled, holier-than-thou, God-bothering bigots suddenly disappeared, and only the regular church-goers who quietly follow their faith and try to live up to "love your neighbor as yourself" were left behind, this wouldn't be an unreasonable assumption.

If God would have wanted people to believe in him, he would have made his existence absolutely clear. Instead he chose to make the world look like he doesn't exist to those who aren't either blind or trying real hard to fool themselves. All the religions make baseless assumptions and more or less contradict reality, each other and even themselves. They were only created to mislead people from not believing in God. The real God only wants people who do not believe fairytales are real, even if those tales are about him. He has not revealed himself, so you are not supposed to believe in him nor his existence. I'm sorry, but I have to warn you about the grave danger you are in: repent now and turn away from the sin of baseless faith or you are going to be scrapped.
