Augustine was able to believe, despite what scripture says, that God created all things instantaneously. Once a person goes that far in his 'interpretations' he might as well join Bishop Spong in that person's assertion that 'the only part of the Apostle's Creed I believe is that Jesus Christ died and was buried'. With Christian 'friends' like that who needs enemies?
