U.S. Government to Release New Dollar Coins
You guessed it
'IN GOD WE TRUST'
IS GONE!!!
If ever there was a reason to boycott something, THIS IS
IT!!!!
DO NOT ACCEPT THE NEW DOLLAR COINS AS CHANGE
Together we can force them out of circulation.
Please Send to all on your mail list !!!

However, this information is incorrect. According to snopes.com, this
is a false rumor. The phrase in god we trust has been printed on the
edge of the coin. However, Snopes.com also reports:
*Update:* With the passage of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of
2008, Congress reversed its previous specifications and instructed the
U.S. Mint the move the "In God We Trust" motto from the edge to the
front or back of the presidential $1 coins "as soon as is practicable."
This change will not take place until the ninth coin in the series is
issued in 2009.

In addition to this, using dollar coins instead of dollar bills
actually saves you money.
"Here's the problem, though. Dollar bills wear out in 18 months.
Coins last approximately 30 years. If you do the math on $1 units in
circulation, you realize that we spend hundreds of millions of
dollars, per year, extra, just to support the dollar bill.
Now granted, in a US budget of over $2 Trillion dollars, maybe the
idea of worrying about a few hundred million is quaint. But I
guarantee you, the question would have come out differently if you had
asked:
"Do you support a federal tax increase of several hundred million
dollars to have a dollar bill instead of a dollar coin?"
Rephrase it how you'd like. I know the "tax increase" word is dirty
(it's certainly a way to lose my vote). Try, "how much would you pay
extra to have a dollar bill instead of a dollar coin?"

Please use the new dollar coin. You have no reason not to!
