Sinners have no place in the Church or in its educational establishments. Sometimes the love of Christ demands we show people to the street. This is a spiritual work of mercy.

Odd then that your Christ hung out almost exclusively with such people.
"Sometimes the love of Christ demands we show people to the street."
Wouldn't want them filthy sinners that you're supposed to be out saving to muck up the religious goings on, right?
"This is a spiritual work of mercy."
No, it's a 'We're better than you so fuck off,' work of sheer stupidity.
Yeah, according to all of the Thumpers I've ever talked to, we're all nothing but the lowest pile of bloody, puss filled rags covered in camel excrement and are guilty of the greatest crimes by birth in the eyes of their God.
Without sinners, demons, guilt, and the idea of eternal damnation, you wouldn't have a Church.
Besides, who's gonna tell the local Mafioso they (and their large donations to the collection plate) are no longer welcome.
Well according to Roman's 3: 10 (the KJV even)
"Love worketh no ill to his neighbour:..."
Certainly putting someone out of the street is working ill. It can cause great harm.
Therefore even by Christian standards, this person gets a big FAIL.
Besides, aren't' Christians supposed to believe that everybody is a sinner? Therefore, again by Christian "Logic", ,their churches and "schools" should be empty.
Um... well, I guess nobody should be going to church, then? Isn't it the doctrine in Christianity that everyone is a sinner, is born in sin and must therefor always seek redemption through Jesus? How are they then supposed to do that if they're all sinners and are forbidden from entering the church? Sounds like they've caught themselves in a very odd catch-22.
I think it was either Abigail Van Buren or Ann Landers who said, "Church is not supposed to be a museum for saints. It is supposed to be a hospital for sinners." It's still buying into the religious philosophy, of course -- but other than that, I thought it expressed the proper sentiment nicely.
~David D.G.
The way to get around that proscription, if you really give a shit, is to be a bigger hypocrite than sinner.
Didn't g0d decree that everyone is a sinner by default?
Accoring to Jesus, that's bullshit. Come on, from a Pentecostal who only reads the OT and occasionally Paul's letters, well, I can expect that but from Catholics..........
"Sinners have no place in the Church"
If you asked this person what a bible was, they would tell you it was a type of fish!
i find a lot of the posts in this thread ironic, they care more about "scandal" than about helping this woman!
oh no they have explain something to their children! the horror!!!
its ironic that some of the people complain that shes not being "responsible" and they are firing her so they don't have to be responsible by telling kids about the pregnant teacher!
hypocrisy at its best!
Interestingly, at my RCIA introduction evening, they said that the Church 'is for sinners'. Funny, that.
"Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone.
Woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them." Luke 11:42, 46
IOW, Fuck you, buddy!
Sinners have no place in the Church or in its educational establishments.
So I guess Christian churches would be pretty empty:
Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (emphasis mine)
Ha! - another dimwitted fundie pwned by someone who has actually read the Bible.
This is the thread this is from:
Thread: Anti-Abortion Group Backs Fired Pregnant Teacher
So, I guess a single teacher at a Catholic school gets pregnant and the school supports her bringing the fetus to term by taking away her income. Molest a boy, get a transfer. Bring a new life into the world, get fired.
Fuck the Catholic Church!!!!!!!!!
Ummm, how?
FUAD!
DIAF!
Oh the mercy...
"Sinners have no place in the Church or in its educational establishments"
Then there's a lot of priests that need to be sacked from their positions as clergy & teachers. Do the words 'Kiddy diddling' ring any bells? Oh yes, that's right. Nowhere in the Ten Commandments does it say 'Thou shalt not interfere with little boys'.
Further proof of what I say: Hypocrisy, thy name is Fundie.
Mercy? To show people to the streets? I beg to differ. Ever heard about love thy neighbor as your friend? Love the sinner, not the sin?
You evil, foul creature!
No Christian has ever killed anyone, or commited adultery, or lied, or judged another fellow human being. Oh, wait, no, they do that all the time. At least the fundy ones.
My Catholic and Muslim friends would never judge anyone; they would give the benefit of a doubt, again and again. And again. Probably once more. And maybe one more time.
However, no problem if Jesus himself had a dinner with them..............wait, we´re all sinners, am I right?
"I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
- Luke 5:32 (KJV)
Oh look, a True Christian who neither knows nor cares what Jesus had to say. We haven't seen one of those in, oh, five minutes now
But ya keep the child molestors and even give them more opportunities.
But then again, the Bible doesn't condemn pedofilia, it's says man shall not lay with man but children aren't men. Loophole!
Don't get smug Fundies, you believe you own your own children with no restrictions and a man answers only to God. Loophole!
And you both believe, no matter what you've done, no many how many times you do it you can get full pardon from God with a few words. Loophole!
Why is your religion based on getting away with everything while still claiming moral superiority?
Y'know:
"he did something bad but didn't come to Christ to apologize, he's awfully evil!"
And then:
"I've done worse and will again but I found Jesus, righteous"
You know you are that.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
