Are They Nuts?!? If Evolution by either random or deterministic selection was possible.. THERE WOULD BE A FOSSIL RECORD!
Try and explain that with a fancy new experiment we're all supposed to swallow just because it got published. Nice. Study genestics and it is obvious to anyone of mean intelligence that so called macro evolution isn't possible.

"it is obvious to anyone of mean intelligence that"
It is obvious to anyone of mean intelligence that you haven't done any kind of studying whatsoever, you are just repeating what you have been told. In the old, non-politically correct times, you would have been called a 'dunce' and would have to sit in the corner with a special hat on. And if you whined about it, you would be dealt with more harshly.

Correct. However, we have the fossils so...moot point.

Moreover, not being able to spell genetics implies that you have no idea what you are talking about.

Sorry Houston, THERE ARE FOSSILES. Cynism is not good for you.

"... it is obvious to anyone of mean intelligence that so called macro evolution isn't possible."

In a discussion of this sort, I think it's a good idea to define terms, so I looked up "mean" on dictionary.com and found these definitions:

1. offensive, selfish, or unaccommodating; nasty; malicious: a mean remark; He gets mean when he doesn't get his way.

2. small-minded or ignoble: mean motives.

3. penurious, stingy, or miserly: a person who is mean about money.

4. inferior in grade, quality, or character: no mean reward.

5. low in status, rank, or dignity: mean servitors.

6. of little importance or consequence: mean little details.

7. unimposing or shabby: a mean abode.

8. small, humiliated, or ashamed: You should feel mean for being so stingy.

9. Informal. in poor physical condition.

10. troublesome or vicious; bad-tempered: a mean old horse.

Whaddya know! Ol' truant got it right!

I thought there ARE Fossil Records *scratches head*

1. I had the fossil record when I was a kid, (I would like to get it on CD). Its somewhere in my parents garage, if you would like evidence.

2. In my studies of gymnastics, I rarely have run across any claims regarding evolution.

Genestics = genetics completely rewritten to agree with Genesis, maybe?

Also, if Creation by an omnipotent entity was possible... THERE WOULD BE A GOD! Try explaining that.

Walking 10 yards is possible we don't question that.
It's running 10 miles that we question!

If you reverse everything you just said you might have a chance at sounding intelligent.

i don't think that this person has ever opened any book other than the bible. Or read any newspaper, watched tv, visited a library, or made acollection of fossil sea urchins.

Fossil record? What fossil record? Oh, that fossil record...

I didn't touch it, I swear. I don't know who took it.

Did you try under the fridge?

There actually IS a fossil record... sorry.

Let's keep in mind that all the fossils we HAVE discovered are only a fraction of those out there. And that fraction is a fraction of all the species that ever existed.

For a fossil to for, an animal has to be large enough, and it has to die in just the right place, at just the right time. In addition to this, the bones must remain largely undisturbed by the environment while it's bones are replaced with minerals.

Weird article. How is deterministic evolution even possible? Anyone?

I think we may have to start a "Dumbf**k Journalists Say The Darndest Things" site just to store the original article truant is commenting on.

I quote:

"Verdict in: Darwin's evolution theory confirmed
R. Colin Johnson

Darwin's theory of evolution has been scientifically confirmed in a study performed by an international team of biologics at Technion in Israel, the United States, France and Germany. The team found that the selection of successive traits occurred naturally in a process that Darwin called deterministic inheritance, instead of by seemingly random providence.

For years, scientists opposed to Darwin's theory have proposed their own theory that evolution could have taken place by pure providence—randomly inherited traits only some of which endure by surviving. For instance, the lengthening of the giraffe's neck, if random, would have occurred as a result of both long-neck and short-neck giraffes evolving, but the short-neck ones didn't survive because they couldn't reach the food. Darwin, on the other hand, believed in the selection of successive traits where a common neck-lengthening trend resulted in the long-neck giraffes we know today."

This has got to be the worst f**king explanation of evolution ever (not counting Hovind's)! Hell, I'm more than half convinced it's bulls**t! What a creationist will make of it (his) god only knows!

What the f**k does it mean? Did ancestral giraffes just start developing long necks for no reason, then find that they were useful for reaching high leaves? If so, did ancient whale ancestors suddenly find their legs turning into flippers and think "Hey, I bet I can swim real well with these!" before flopping off in the direction of the nearest beach?

The hilarious thing is what the actual experiment was measuring, which was like the female genitalia of flies or something. "Nematodes" I can't remember what a nematode is...

I knew i'd heard the word "genestics" somewhere before. This must be Pat "Mr Zoo" Flanerdy. Nice to see he's a little less crazy. But only a little.

Is that the Nobel Committee I hear calling for you?

"Study genestics and it is obvious to anyone of mean intelligence that so called macro evolution isn't possible."

Fine. Pinpoint and describe, in precise scientific terminology, the exact point where "micro" evolution stops and what mechanism prevents many, many, many such evolutions from becoming a macroevolution.

Good luck.
