Quote# 34220

I think Obama's actions should speak louder than his words.

Would a Christian lay his hand on the bible or the koran?

would a real american by heart refuse to pledge allegiance to our flag and our country?

His actions tell me he is not for America and is not a christian.

A vote for obama is a vote for islam is a vote against the United States.

You're confusing Obama with Ellison. And none of them have refused to pledge alliance. Are you sure you're aware of what non-sequitur means?

Now I'm going to vote for Obama just to piss this guy off. I hope he's proud of himself

I want to vote for Obama. But, you know, because I think he would do good things for the country.

I like how most of the people at Rapture Ready dislike him because he's 'OMG Islamic!' and so 'he must secretly want Islam to take over the US!1!'

Øyvind : it's worse than that. People on that site think that you can't be Christian (tm), and wrong, at the same time.

"Would a Christian lay his hand on the bible..."

Because as everyone knows, Christians believe that the Bible is an anti-Christian document. I mean, it's not like the whole religion is based on different interpretations of what it means.

I guess what they meant was 'which of these would a Christian lay his hand on'

HAHAHAHAHA! YOU THINK I USED THE QUORAN? Please, check your facts before slandering my name.

For any idiot that didn't realize, I am not really Obama, just a caricature.

Keith Ellison has already sworn over the Koran. So?

It's when politicians are sworn in with their hands on the Necronomicon you need to start worrying.

Also, Mattural Selection I claim my Interwebz re: the insult sepo. It's Australian rhyming slang for an American, from 'septic tank'(i.e. something full of shit) = 'yank' :-)

Last time I checked, it was OK to vote for another faith than yours in America. Have you really spent all that time with your head up your own ass?!

2/3/2008 6:27:27 PM

mmm

I'd like to think that someone with such wildly delusional theories as yours would be incapable of voting, as surely leaving the safety of your house/bunker/institution would leave you exposed to attacks from the muslims/communists/flying monkeys that are quite clearly out to get you.

His critics insist that Obama
Is Muslim, like evil Osama.
Well, they don't know their biz;
For if that fellow is,
Then so is the damn Dalai Lama.

I just had an argument with my mother over this same shit. She admitted to knowing nothing about him but refuses to vote for him based on his name. I keep telling her that Obama is not a goddamn muslim, but in fact a CHRISTIAN. Why won't they ever fucking listen?

I think you are correct with you first line. "Actions should speak louder than his words". Get you head out of your behind and actually listen to the man, look into his past. And once you have done that come back and bring evidence of your claims.

Wow, just reading the comments in that thread from January, it is amazing how far RR has sank in the past year. Some of those posts are actually rational.

Senator

I think Obama's actions should speak louder than his words.

Sure, let's play this game.

Would a Christian lay his hand on the bible or the koran?

I assume you mean while taking an oath of office. In this case, the Christian would place his/her hand on the bible. And a Muslim would the Q'Ran.

You're thinking of Kieth Ellison, who is a Muslim senator. I understand how all black folks might look alike to you, so it's hard to tell the difference. There's a call on the whites-only courtesy phone. You might want to pick it up.

And furthermore, they should be putting their hand on the Constitution, the actual document they are swearing to uphold, not a religious text.

would a real american by heart refuse to pledge allegiance to our flag and our country?

I can assume that you forgot some words in there and mean place his hand on his heart. Have you been to a ball game ever in your life? Many people stand at attention and offer solemn respect. It is often a behaviour learned from peers. As a child, I was told only to have my hand on my heart while reciting the pledge, not when the anthem was sung.

His actions tell me he is not for America and is not a christian.

Because why again? Oh, your misunderstanding of, among many other things, reality.

A vote for obama is a vote for islam is a vote against the United States.

Sanity says otherwise, cupcake.

For all you fundies who missed this section of your homeschooled civics lesson. The Constitution does not require anyone to place a hand on the bible, or swear to god when taking the oath of office.. It is personal preference and a photo op only.
