I watched the trailer. There is a lot of paranoia about a potential Christian takeover of the US.

I really wish I knew how prevalent this belief was in the U.S., the majority of christians/catholics just consider their religion pretty metaphorical and not literal...

We get scared of you because you are grown adults who have an all-powerful imaginary friend who you believe does everything for you, all you have to do is ask.
We get frightened of you because you believe you are superior to the rest of the human race because of aforementioned imaginary friend.
We grow terrified of you because you use this supposed superiority to subjugate, intimidate, threaten and worse, and believe yourselves holy for it.

Actually, they're more scared of an atheist takeover. It seems to me like most people in the United States fall into two camps, those who use logic and reason to determine their political views, and those who base their entire lives on Cold War propaganda. How else do you explain that the same people who so desperately NEED to have God in the motto and in the Pledge are also the same people who think that welfare and universal health coverage, you know, giving to the poor, fairly Christian thing, is going to inevitably turn the United States into a dictatorship?

Just following up Mr Spak's comment, I guess if a liar says he's lying, you get one of those logical loops. But when a liar says he's NOT lying, it gets easier. The processor can load it all in a single cycle.

who ? Christians ? Check your statistics, most people are christian (as the largest religion in the world, probably unpreventable). Statistically speaking nothing in the last century has caused more deaths than organized genocide institutionalized by one or many forms of government. The holocaust is, believe it or not, actually only one example (thought probably the best).

Okay i have meet very few people who dont lie and it is not religious based, I am wiccan and I dont lie at all, i am completely honest and loyal end story. sorry but some people kill and some lie it is not religious based it is us being humans and thats all we can be, we lie to hold up a self image of ourselves, we kill to rid the world of annoyances so whats the different. Atheists dont fear christians, no religion fears another. we just fear people capable of harm and deceit cause its rational.
