No I didn't know any of what you stated. I'm not a scientist. But, if stars are [usually] binary, and our Sun is not binary, doesn't that lend more evidence to the notion that the Sun is not a star?

Stars aren't usually binary, some are.
The sun is a non-binary star.
Who is pushing the notion that the sun isn't a star, and why?
No I didn't know any of what you stated. I'm not a scientist. But, if people are [usually] nice (or at least not bad), and Christians are not nice, doesn't that lend more evidence to the notion that Christians are not people?
Somewhere out there, an astronomer head explodes.
Binary stars are 2 stars that revolve around each other. The Sun is not a binary star.
Thank god this person was barely smart enough to admit not being a scientist...but stupid enough to not research it before asking.

My head did not explode, but I did consider the relative merit of explaining some astronomy and of administering an Aldrin Punch.
More like: As we look deeper into our Galaxy as equipment improves science has noticed Binary Stars are more common then thought before.
Planets around singular stars are also more common then thought before
*sigh* If the Sun is NOT a star, then what is it? No, go on. What's the alternative?
*cricket noises*
That's what I thought.
Look, it's a ball of gas crushed together by gravity and fusing its contents, and it gives off heat and light in the process. It's a damn star.
"I'm not a scientist."
Obviously.
But, if humans [usually] have an IQ higher than 50, and Rebornempowered doesn't have an IQ higher than 50, doesn't that lend more evidence to the notion that Rebornempowered is not a human?
I'll play for a minute. Say that the Sun isn't a star, because it's not binary. What do you suggest we call all those other stars that, like the Sun, also are singular? Are there billions of suns out there? Or is the Sun just another middle-aged main-sequence star?
Oh, Be A Fine Girl, Kiss Me.
Confused?
