[discussing whether it is possible for babies to sin]
Take a shiny object and wave it in front of a baby and as sure as the sun comes up, he'll reach for it.
Now, take it away from him and watch what happens. He'll pitch a fit because he wants that object.
That's coveting, which is a sin.

I tried for awhile to come up with a funny way to mock this jackass, but the more I wasted my time thinking about what he said, the more I realized that this guy's brand of stupidity doesn't even deserve humor.
You, MikeMcK, are a fucking moron.
We get it. If it's basic human need but doesn't lead to something necessary for immediate survival, like fun, sex, and social interaction, then it's a sin.
Torture, or starve a fundie.
watch what happens, he'll pitch a fit because he wants you to stop.
Thats coveting, which is a sin
End result being that fundoes sin if they eat anything
So if I go steal the gigantic fucking Trucks/SUVs that a lot of xtians own around here, and push them over a bridge, they aren't allowed to do anything about it or they're coveting, right? Sounds swell!
This is like the idiot that thought his baby, by experimenting and turning his bown upside down, was rebelling against God.
Too dumb to look after kids, let alone babies.
All too likely to procreate.
No, that is not coveting, that is teasing a baby, which is mean.
To covet is to lust for something that belongs to someone else, like your neighbour's wife or your father's wealth or your classmate's Nikes.
On-line dictionaries are free...try one sometime.
Well then,
Take the idea of a strict Christian theocracy and wave it in front of a fundie, and as sure as the sun comes up, he'll want it.
Now, take it away from him and watch what happens. He'll pitch a fit because he wants it, he'll cry and scream and rail against anyone and anything standing between them and that absolute theocracy.
That's coveting, which is a sin.
Well, if you qualify that as a sin, then you are likely going to Hell yourself. Have fun in your lake of fire, asshole!
Oddly enough, MickMcK lists "sailing" as one of his interests. Now how does somebody save up and purchase something as expensive as a boat without coveting it? Surely the very act of owning one is evidence of desiring it at one time.
Jesus is watching you Mike, and he's not happy. You'll have to rid yourself of this vile evidence of materialism to be forgiven. To paraphrase a bible verse:
If thine eye offends thee, pluck it out; if thy yachts should cause thee to sin, sell it dirt cheap to a ruggedly handsome atheist called Septic Sceptic.
Isn't it standard christian doctrine to declare that all humans are sinful? Sure, some try to sugar coat it with the nonbiblical concept of "age of accountability" because they just can't admit that the notion of a loving god condemning average, everyday people to eternal torture is dusgusting, but the belief that humans are bad just for being human and therefore need to be "saved" is the very root of christianity and that implies a belief that we all came into the world as sinners. Fundies are just not good at hiding this horrendous belief behind more elegant sounding rationales as the more mainstream apologists do. Of course, the OP is an idiot but he's just being true to his idiocy.
"So human nature is a sin, and absolution is only through your faith? That's a brilliant scam; I'll grant you that much."
Christianity is a scam, that's the only reason sexuality is a sin. Can you give me one other reason as to why it would be?
So if I put a plastic bag over your head, and you panic and struggle, then you're coveting air?
And how many Good Christians covet. Look at your leaders, all they do is beg money from you assholes. And your stupid enough to give it to them.
Please take Paul's advice and cut your dick off, you're too stupid to breed.
Which is why this guys children sit there, blank expressions on their faces, unable to think, unable to do anything on their own.

I'm not totally sure if you mean sexuality as in sexual preference or sexuality as in sexual behaviour, but in both cases, the answer is "Venerial diseases"
It's not just the Christians who have a thing against non-reproductive sex, most religions and societies before the germ theory of disease did. Not being idiots, they noticed that sexual promiscuity tended to result in people being struck down by mysterious illness, a.k.a. God.
The strength of sexual taboos correlates with the prevalence of venerial disease.
That's why God 'visits the sins of the fathers on the children'. It was not an instruction to God to do so; it was an observation of what happened.
So as long as you practice safe sex, you're right with God.
As for MikeMcK's tormenting babies, that's NOT what Jesus meant when he said "Suffer the little children"
I don't believe what I'm reading here....... So perhaps another "huh?" would be in order?
Like a baby knows how to sin and covet? Yeah, I want a rattle which is gold embossed, just like Charlie, who lives next door, and soon I'll be driving a motorized....
Aw never mind. This is just totally silly.
Burn babies at the stake.
That's the right fucking way to go.
You probably still get pissed at the taxes deducted from your paycheck like everybody else. How is that different?
No mo' reproduction fo' you.
Congrats you are a fucking moron! Also a complete asshole. Here's sincerely hoping you are infertile!
Babies can't help the way they behave, they aren't capable of being selfish because they aren't old enough to really comprehend that they have needs, let alone put deliberately put their needs before everybody else's needs!
Yes, human nature is a sin. Everything we're predisposed to want or do is bad.
This is essentially what you're getting at, Mikey, yes?
Wow. What he described babies doing is PURELY NATURAL. So, he's saying babies doing what nature said is a sin? o_O As if this post didnt make enough sense, im pretty sure babies cant produce sentient thought until they are one and a half years old. so, hes saying something that might not even be able to produce sentient thought is sinning.....FAIL.
Take a bone and wave it in front of a dog and as sure as the sun comes up, he'll reach for it. Now, take it away from him and watch what happens. He'll start barking and acting rough because he wants that bone. That's coveting, which is a sin.
Dogs are horrible sinners worthy of hellfire.
Take a potted plant and place it in front of a window and as sure as the sun comes up, it'll lean toward the sunlight. Now, take it away from any light and watch what happens. It'll wither and die because it wants sunlight. That's coveting which is a sin.
Plants are sinners who like to offend God.
You shalt not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his house nor his other belongings, blah, blah, bla-di-blah-ha.
You acted as if you were going to give the child the shiny object, then took it away.
That is not coveting, that is you lying to the kid, which is definitely a sin.
Re lies: I saw the movie "The Invention of Lying" the other day. Highly amusing. Before there were lies, there was no religion.
You are depraved.
That is all.
Confused?
