Guys! guys! guys! i'm not saying that atheists don't have morals or ethics , i'm saying that if 'I' were an atheist i wouldn't bother with them.... And once again...if i want to rape and pillage your village then why not! Can you give me a reason outside of christendom why i shouldn't do these things.

You should read you bible more - those things and more were commanded by your God. You will find that Western values were actually a product of the Hammurabic Laws, not what your evil God said! Unfortunately, humans have this little thing called empathy. You know, that irritating feeling in your gut when you know you've hurt someone. Involuntarily wincing when you see someone else kicked in the nutsack. These natural empathetic reactions serve as deterrent enough to people hurting each other. Therefore, people hurt each other when they find a reason to override these feelings, such as:
-Believing you are better or more deserving than the other person -Believing that the other person deserved it -Believing that your reward for doing it will more than compensate for the guilt And what exactly is it that is often used as an excuse for people to hold these feelings? Hint: It isn't atheism.

First because logic dictates that each individual is sovereign over their own life and this must be respected.
Second because logic dictates that allowing more people to live, and thereby having a far greater pool of skills, labor, and genetic stock for the reproduction of the species, is a very good idea. Third because experience shows random acts of violence will meet with vendettas and retaliatory actions, which will certainly be counterproductive to oneself. Fourth because no sensible or good being will ever allow someone into paradise who doesn't have a personal moral compass, and only bases their actions on the instructions of others, and what they stand to gain or lose.

All three of the Abrahamic religions condemn rape and murder, right from the ten commandments and the earliest edicts of YHWH on. That's two religions outside of Christendom right there.

Outside of them, there's a variety of other religions (Sikhism, Zorastrianism, Mithraism, Jainism, Shintoism, Hinduism, Daoism, etc) as well as philosophies (Pacifism, Humanism, Confuscism etc) and religious philosophies (Buddhism, since many people can't decide which group it belongs in) that also condemn murder, rape, and the other crimes you listed.

Beyond the purely philosophical and theological, there's also the practical. As others have posted, violence towards one group is often provocative of returned violence. Thus, the need for some level of stability and self preservation has driven humans to culturally select for some guidelines.

Which brings us to another group of reasons: legal. In the modern era, prevention of genocide might be low on the list of priorities, but with some level of regularity leaders and propagandists behind the act are punished (unfortunately not often enough I must admit). On a small scale, you're much more likely to be caught, tried, and either imprisoned indefinitely or killed.

In short, there's millions of reasons outside of Christendom.

How nice. Please keep your Babble close to you and read it often. Sociopathic tendencies are not looked on favorably by society as a whole so I'm telling you this for your own protection.

Because that would be detrimental to myself and those of my village.

Aside from the one above? How about the fact that I and the rest of the village would assemble en masse to kick your ass? Like I said, keep reading that Bible of yours. It's for your own protection.

Just because you personally may not see anything wrong with your behavior doesn't mean that the rest of society isn't going to keep you in check. Prisons are full of people who thought they could do as they damn well pleased while society had other ideas.
