Ya see (Now this is just an opinion), people DON'T believe in creation because they DON'T want to. They know it makes sense, but they do not want to follow rules that God wants them to. Basically, admitting that someone created you would mean: 1. No more parties 2. No more 'common (Swears)' language 3. For some people a total attitude change. And, over all, 'no fun.' People want to believe evolution because there are NO rules to evolution. Do you know how blessed we are to be Christians at a young age? To think of all the hurt we would have caused our Great, Almighty Creator just makes me literally feel sick!

What a stupid set of comments.

People don't believe in creationism because it's wrong. It is a myth, a story, and they know it doesn't make sense to see it any other way.

How do you know what gawd wants people to do? Has your preacher been bending your mind again? Oh the bible? Well a nice and nasty storybook. Not the sort of thing to give to a kid, or to take too seriously unless you have slates loose.

'common (Swears)' language' - if you mean foulmouthedness/bad language then for heaven's sake say so. Common language means nothing. I speak several languages in common with other people of different nationalities. Any one of them is a common language between us.

Evolution is not an ism, therefore it doesn't pretend to have rules like a religion.

'No fun'? There's a lot more to life than 'fun'. There are mental and intellectual pursuits. Try not to be so limited in your thinking of how people enjoy life.

You young Christians are probably not blessed - more likely brainwashed, or braindead.

The Jews who wrote Genesis never intended for it to be taken litterally. This is a newer Christian interpretation. So no, if God existed, I don't think he would want you to take the myth of Genesis litterally any more than J. K. Rowling wants you to seriously believe in the existence of the wizard school of Galtwort.

You think I want to believe there's nothing out there but vast, uncaring vacuum with nothing to offer us at the end of our lives but oblivion? Sheesh.

I'd *love* there to be an afterlife, I'd *love* for there to be some big friendly guy who cares about every living thing watching out for us (not that schizoid, elitist jerk you imagine exists and toady up to, though - I *would* actually prefer oblivion to having to deal with that arsehole).

However, there isn't a shred of evidence for the latter, so I rationally conclude that there is only the former, of which there is abundant evidence available to me every second of my life. Having established that there is no divine force in the universe, no afterlife, I can get down to business doing as well as I can in this existence, as far as anyone knows the only one I have, and hopefully making our little corner of the universe slightly better for everybody wherever I can.

In short, I believe what the evidence of my senses tells me. Whether I want to or not has no bearing on the matter.

Which god would that be? Yours I suppose, right? Who says this creator deity is your deity or that it even has any "rules" which it wishes you or anything else to follow?

How in the hell would my behavior "hurt" a deity? Any entity that is unimaginably ancient, supposedly benevolent and powerful enough to create not only life but entire universes sure as hell wouldn't give a damn what I think, feel, do or say to it or about it.

Your god seems pathetically weak not only physically but emotionally. What kind of wussy ass god has it's feelings hurt because I don't "love" it? Why the hell would it even care?

Forsooth madam! You have besmirched our good name. Our language is of the finest caliber. In response I shall add that your ability to trample over the english language is much like that of the bulls of Pamplona over a slow granny. Were you a man I would slap you with my glove and challenge you to a duel for besmirching my honour with such a tapestry of falsehood and deceit. Tarry not on the internet lest thy stupidity catches and we are all smitten by the plague that is imbecility.

3. No Fun
Who the fuck do you think you are? Murky Dismal? This is why no one wants you in their parties.

There are rules to evolution. Very very powerful and amazing rules. They even govern the reason why religion exists.

To be fair this person thinks somehow people who grew up without Jesus are somehow worse off and indeed terrible people because we have no morals and no limits. For instance I know the appropriate answer to "do you want to snort some coke?" is. (Only if you have a high class hooker who I can snort it off... otherwise no thanks...)

I don't really go to parties. I do not reject piss poor arguments for creationism simply to go to a party, anyway.

Do you understand WHY I say 'goddamnit' when I hammer my thumb? Because Christians influenced my vocabulary. If Christians weren't swearing as much as they do, I'd have picked up different words as habitual. Something cool, maybe, like 'By ice and fire!' or 'Odin's BEARD that hurts!'
