[Anonymous fundie giving feedback on AIG's "educational" material]
I just wanted to write to you and let you know how well used your DVD’s are in my home. For Christmas we gave our son — (age 4) the Children’s DVD package. Since then, almost daily, he will ask to watch “Dinosaurs - Genesis and the Gospel”. Not only will he watch it, he and his sister—(age 6) will be riding in the car and quoting from it. One of his favorite lines is: “When someone says millions of years, Ask them, Were you there?”

It is sad that the militant atheists like Richard Dawkins actually call this “a kind of child abuse”—yet, such secularists want millions of children taken through a public education system where they are indoctrinated to believe in naturalism–atheistic philosophy.

P.S: Keeping children deliberately ignorant about the world they live in just because you happen to hold a belief in the bloodthirsty deity of the ancient tribes of Jerusalem--like it or not, that's child abuse!

The education system is not indoctrinating children, fundtards like you are. Quite lying to children, and adults for that matter. No branch of science makes any claim to the existence or nonexistence of God, so by claiming teaching naturalism is promoting atheism just shows that you're full of shit.
The ultimate irony of this argument is that the millions of years argument was known of nearly 200 years ago.
When someone says millions of years... You provide evidence of geology, radiation and so on... Seriously!
Wait, so keeping your children literally sheltered from any other notions than the ones you approve of, training them to defend beliefs they don't even comprehend, that isn't child abuse or indoctrination.

So if a fundie teaches his kid about creationism, that is described as exposing the child to “educational material”; but if a parent exposes his kid to the evidence for evolution, that’s described as “indoctrination.”

Oh, you know how kids are...they'll bounce between fads as easy as breathing. I equate this with Ninja Turtle merchandising, and like everything else, it will be superseded by another "living fairy-tale" soon enough. Parents will throw good money after bad in any case.
