I think you need to study your history. The crusades were not about Christian aggression. They were about the last time the Muslims tried to take over the world and the crusaders stomped their butts back into the sand for nearly a thousand years.

Ahem! You need to study your history. The crusades were about Western Christianity conquering what were then Muslim lands - specifically what was once Roman Palaestina, sometimes most inappropriately called the 'holy' land. Land is not 'holy' - unless you think that the countless litres of blood spillt there in some way sanctifies it by virtue of all that human sacrifice.

That land, before the arrival of Islam, had been part of the Eastern Roman Empire. And before the division of the empire into two parts, it had been part of the Empire of Rome as ruled from that city.

By the time the Christians came along the Land had been in Muslim hands for 400 years. Hardly an insignificant period. Certainly longer than the United States has existed.

The Western Christians conquered the Muslims initially, and in so doing killed all the Christians and Jews who dwellt there as well as the Muslims. The Christian Kingdom of Outremer (Beyond the Sea) was founded, and in about 100 years it was wiped out again by a Muslim resurgence. The Land has been Muslim ever since - with some small Jewish communities living there, generally in peace.

So, yogi, you lack of knowledge is exposed as bigotry, I'm afraid. The question is, will bigots be Raptured? Assuming such an assumption ever should come to pass - which I certainly do not believe.

Well, since the first crusade was in 1095, I guess they've still not picked their butts out of the sand now. Good thing too, otherwise they might have taken control of the entire middle east and all its rich oil reserves by now!

Yup, we can thank the crusaders for the fact that it is the christian west that controls the whole old Persian empire, that oil is cheap and plentiful, and that a there are no Muslim nations to harbour intolerant fanatics bent on spreading terror through our populations.
