Which one weighs more, a ton of feathers or a ton of iron?

Oh dear, you forgot the small little detail about it being 109 times wider than the Earth, so consequently being 1.3 million times larger in volume, and given it's only 300,000 times heavier it means all them thar gases are condensing under a gravity 30 times that of Earth at the surface...
tsk, tsk.

I always thought weight had to do with gravity. Weight shouldn't even be an issue when it comes to the sun, then, should it? I mean, shouldn't we be talking about mass?

Is he saying the sun revolves around the earth? He's not is he? I didn't know people still believed in that.

One hydrogen atom masses less than one iron atom. One hundred quadrillion trillion billion million hydrogen atoms mass rather more.

\"Ah who ever said the sun is heavier [than the earth]? Scientists(man) not God .”
Right, I missed that verve where it states, ”and god said the earth is definitely heavier then the sun, despite being only a small fraction of the mass…”
”Sun is made up of gases which are lighter than the earth's surface.”
Individually or the sum total? 2 is large then 1, but a million 1’s will beat 500 2’s.
”It makes alot more sense for the sun to go around the earth.”
Yes, if you throw out all facts, reason, logic, observations, etc, then it certainly makes more sense… wait, no, even doing all then it still sounds retarded.
“THere is nothing egotistical about that. God made man his center of attention.\"
“I am the center of the universe” complex is not egotistical? Damn dictionary fails me again! BTW, if man is the center of the sky fairy’s attention, why does he not have a more active role in things? Or is it in the sense of sitting back with a beer watching the boob tube sort of “center of attention”?

The sun isn't actually a burning ball of gas as a lot of people presume. Rather it is actually plasma. Of course this had no real effect on you being wrong, it just makes you a bit more wrong than before.

Sun is made up of gases which are lighter than the earth's surface.
Yeah...but atom for atom, there's a helluva lot more of those gases in the sun than there is rock in this planet.
You failed pretty hard there, guy.

No, man made a god that made man the center of attention.

If that is true, then why hasn't he been paying attention? I mean, with all the famines, wars, murders, rapes, politcal scandals etc. you think he'd step in already. Or is your image of god have a gay old time watching everyone suffer?

Of course it makes sense for the sun to go around the earth... except for the facts that people measured the earth's orbit, and have gone up into space and seen that the earth orbits the sun. Other than that "evidence", sure, the earth is clearly the center of the universe!

Hmmm...scientists? No, wait - the evidence!
Scientists(man) not God
Oh, ok. I don't recall that part of the Bible, though. You aren't hearing messages from God we should know about, are you?
Sun is made up of gases which are lighter than the earth's surface. It makes alot more sense for the sun to go around the earth.
Non sequitur. Yes, hydrogen is lighter than the "earth's surface" (whatever that is supposed to mean), but that doesn't mean the Sun orbits the Earth. Mass =/= density.
THere is nothing egotistical about that.
I'm sure your reasons for wanting to believe the Sun orbits the Earth are purely rational. Suuuure.
God made man his center of attention.
Wha...? Sounds egotistical to me.
You get an "F" in science. For "Fucktard".

Almost the definition of Egotistical with delusions of grandeur and such. This attitude leads to the next step: There is only one true religion, ours. Because not everyone on Earth can be as important as me and a select few.

So, if God mad man his center of attention, why are elephants and whales larger than man? If it's because of some sort of inexplicable divine plan, than why can't the Sun be heavier than the Earth for the same reason? What about fat people - are they suffering from overeating and/or disease or are they just getting special attention from God?

This observation was brought to you by Galileo Galilei, all the way from the 17th century.
