Evolution doesn't necessarily exclude a creator. It just states that mankind wasn't always mankind, per se. Whether it was just a lucky chemical reaction, or a divine nudge in the right direction, all an evolutionist is saying is that humanity is a link in a chain, a branch on a tree, a step, not a destination.
