[Reference: The two accounts of Judas's death.]

There is NO contradiction whatsoever in The Bible anywhere. Judas hung himself through strangulation via disembowelment (I can get more graphic if you need me too). The buying of a field with the 30 pieces of silver was done buy the Pharisees and Saducees AFTER Judas returned the money. The Religious Hypocrites couldn't keep the money because it was blood money...so they bought a field.

Now I'm not a total literary expert but these passages seem to contradict each other just a little :-/

This one is difficult to explain. All you need to know is, the fundies are wrong in that God is in fact vengeful. He even ADMITS it in one of the OT verses.

The second one is an example of humility. (And might have to do with the context.)

The first one however, is said in reference to humanity, not Jesus.

Remember, with mistranslations from Hebrew, to Greek, to Old English etc, some of the stuff in the bible seems wierd (Young-Earth Creationism, Persecution of Gays, etc) And some of the stuff in the bible is sarcastic. And still more stuff is formed out of knowledge from the time (pi = 3)

God didn't write and translate the bible, people did. Therefore, the bible is bound to be changed for worse by human hand.

Yes there is contradiction in the Bible. And you don't have to go to the dual-creation controversy in Genesis (which could be explained as seperate accounts of the same event), or the multiple last words of Jesus thing (which could be explained as merely the last words that each author heard Jesus say), or the multiple accounts of the death of Judas (which could be explained simply by the fact that one of the authors heard it wrong).

All you have to do is look at Josiah in the OT. When you compare the parallel accounts of the Age of Kings in "Chronicles" and "Kings," the dates don't line up. If you accept Chronicles as being accurate, then Kings has Josiah becoming king three years before he was born.

That, in the real world, is what we call a "contradiction."
