(Emphasis added by me)
i dunno if the backdrop emblem is supposed to be Christian but there's the Star of David for Judaism, the Pentagram for some sort of atheism and at the top is the crescent of Islam

Hmm, this religion is unknown to me, let's clasify it as... atheism, yea, I hate those guys, let's call them atheists.
WRONG. WRONG. WRONG.
Jesus fucking Christ.
WRONG!
Not fundie, just ignorant.
By the way, Mattural Selection, haven't American Atheists roduced a symbol? I thought I heard of it, but I'm not sure, it's not the kind of news us europeans get very often.
@Matt:
there is a newsletter?!?!?
I could understand leaving me out of the blood sacrifice, then the orgies, and the babykilling, but you guys don't even send me the newsletter???
Some friends you are!
I'll go start my own atheism, with blackjack! And hookers!
@Mattural Selection: "I wasn't aware we had a symbol."
Yeah, it's a picture of a blue sky with nothing in it .
I don't get to watch a lot of music vids (not unless they appear on Nick or Nick Jr.), so I haven't heard a recent metal track in ages.
I really quite liked this one, anyone know if the album's any good?

Your ignorance is astounding.
Pentagrams usually denote paganism or satanism.
Atheists don't have a symbol. The group American Athiests have a symbol that is like an atomic whirl with an A in it.

They claim to speak for all atheists, but they don't. Same as you don't speak for all Christians (although you'd like to).
The pentagram has been used as a symbol for Christ, representing the 5 wounds (nail marks in hands and feet, crown of thorns on head). Then again an upside down cross is a symbol for Peter (he requested to be crucified upside down because he was not worthy to die in the same manner as his lord) yet you people freak out continuously about that symbol.
I think we can blame some atheists for this misunderstanding, actually. I've seen the pentagram used as an all-purpose anti-religion symbol by people who have nothing to do with satanism or wicca. I've seen the Taijitu abused in a similar way, as well as Christian crucifixes.
It's a pet peeve of mine when people do that, because they've clearly given no thought to what they actually believe. "Know thyself" and all that. :)
Last I checked, this was the atheist symbol:

FUNDIES -- Please stay ON THE TRAIL. We know you get lost exceedingly easy in this neck of the woods (your Bermuda Triangle between Paganism, Satanism, and Atheism), but please do all you can to remain with the group on this guided tour.
It's obvious this lad/lass has never been informed as to what the pentagram actually stands for (it's a sing of protection, matey). Either that or there's a truly terrifying proposition that they HAVE been informed, but simply dismissed it out of hand.
Either way, it's a depressing scenario.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
