[about wiretapping]

Okay, lets give him this right to violate the constitution and totally invade our privacy. Guess what, next year he isn't president anymore and there will be a new sheriff in town. That sheriff may just be Obama. OMG are we going to give that right to a left wing almost commie, who is accused of being a hidden islamofacist. Do you think he might just start tapping all phone calls in and out of all Christian churches in our nation. After all, it is becoming down right illegal to be a Christian. This will make it real easy to round em all up and feed them to the lions.

Mister Spak

And the light starts to dawn. 28 years late, but it starts to dawn.

2/26/2008 12:22:18 PM

The people accusing him of being 'islamofascist' are fucktards like you, since it's plainly obvious he's a christian to those of us with IQs in double digits or more.

It's not becoming down right illegal to be christian, just to force christian beliefs on others, as it should be.

If someone wishes to follow up with the pie chart, that'd be awesome.

John Larceny

Obama is turning into my favourite Islamochristiancommunistdemocrat.

2/26/2008 12:37:24 PM

Duh, too damned late to start thinking about that, isn't it? Too Bad. So Sad. Too late.

2/26/2008 12:39:49 PM

"left wing almost commie"

Don't know much about the political spectrum, do you? Historically, communism and fascism virulently oppose each other. Communism is, indeed, a "left wing" ideology, but fascism is extremely right wing. Like YOU.

2/26/2008 12:44:20 PM

erm. SweetViolet, communism is a form of facism.

You need to look more at the political compass than a simple "left/right" thing.

Communism is economically left, and enforces this by being authoritarianally right.

Why would anyone possibly want to wiretap a church, of all things? To see if priests really keep the secrets of confession?

2/26/2008 1:04:47 PM

Fuck...I would vote for him just to piss the christians off.

2/26/2008 1:08:18 PM

Watch out for that slope.

It's really slippery.

2/26/2008 1:16:05 PM

Evidently this guy wouldn't have a problem with wiretapping if only someone he supported were in office.

2/26/2008 1:17:56 PM

If you wiretapped his phone more, you'll see that he's not muslim at all and neither communist. What the Hell!!, you can't be muslim and communist at the same time. But of course, that's what happens when you use double standards.

2/26/2008 1:25:01 PM

Wiretapping isn't necessary. All that needs to be done is to pull a big truck up to the church doors around 12:00 any given Sunday. Besides, they know who you are from the latest census data. You may be paranoid, but that doesn't mean they aren't out to get you. Beware the islamofascist, almost commie democrats--they're everywhere.

2/26/2008 1:40:31 PM

That's right, it's becoming illegal to be Christian. That's why 80% of the US population is atheist, Christian churches are incredibly rare, you NEVER see a Christian in a government position, and there is no Constitutionally guaranteed right to be Christian.

Oh, wait, that's the complete OPPOSITE of reality!

2/26/2008 1:44:15 PM

So intelligent Christian democrat is now a "islamofacist" and a commie?

2/26/2008 1:52:31 PM

Doctor Whom

If you go through the thread, you'll see that this person is making a pretty good point and is choosing the language to appeal to frothing-at-the-mouth Republicans.

2/26/2008 2:03:12 PM

Jezebel's Evil Sister

Wow! All the way from "left wing almost commie" to "islamofacist" in one sentence! Why not just call him the antichrist and leave it at that?

2/26/2008 2:11:14 PM

Ranger Joe

So many Christians...never enough lions. Ya know...just to shut these ass berets up we should have a "National Christian Persecution Day" and show them what it really feels like to be persecuted. Could you imagine the look of fear when a huge guy in black bdus brandished a night stick and said,

"To ze showerz witz you...Christian..."

2/26/2008 2:28:03 PM

It's about damn time. I mean really, why not feed them to the lions? Big cats need food too!!! Won't anyone think of the carnivorous cats??!!

2/26/2008 2:31:18 PM

"Accused of"?

If we're to take completely insubstantiated accusations into account, with all the crap thrown about in politics there will be NO ONE who holds up to scrutiny.

2/26/2008 2:32:28 PM

Damn, I wish it WAS illegal to be Christian.
Damn, I wish it was legal to toss 'em to the lions.

2/26/2008 2:47:20 PM

Well, he started out well.....

2/26/2008 2:59:04 PM

Well, he has a point (in the first few sentences) ... I wonder if people who want to give Bush all sorts of powers really understand that the same powers will be given to the Democratic presidents, too. If Reagan had been given half the stuff some of his rabid supported wanted, they would have been frothing at the mouth to revoke them when Clinton got elected. On the other hand, he sounds like he's still ducking Viet Cong behind trees.

2/26/2008 3:25:44 PM

Until you are in prison or killed, it isn't illegal to follow Jesus. Because there are those of us who do not, does not mean you are oppressed. And you just swayed me to vote Obama not McCain.

2/26/2008 3:34:40 PM

I'm starting to wish that I lived in the US so I could vote in Obama for the sheer excitement of pissing off fundies.

2/26/2008 3:40:23 PM

Blayze Kohime

Christians think that they are persecuted when they aren't allowed to persecute the minorities beneath them. Then they rationalize this with outright lies. Its rather scary, and I can say this as someone who has personally had someone threaten to kill me if I didn't say I loved Jesus. And no, I didn't say it, atheists can stand up for what they believe too.

Also even though I still think wiretapping is bad: Wiretapping does not work that way.
