Quote# 35516

[In response to "So what is the belief system that suits moral atheist agenda?"]

Simple, as atheist's selfish agenda is to hate God and deny his revealed truth, no atheist can be moral. Nobody "doesn't belive in god" they know he is real, they just deny him, which is evil and therefore immoral.

You cannot be moral without God, therefore you cannot be a moral atheist nor a moral atheist agenda

Another person too stupid to imagine a world where people don't need the same stupid, imaginary constructions that he needs in order to make his way through life.

Nothing to see here.

I'd argue you can only be truly moral without God, being moral because you're scared of his eternal torture is inferior to being moral because you believe it's the right thing to do.

To illustrate that your assertion is true and correct, you have to describe how human morality is defined by and derived from your god's existence.

First, prove that your god exists. Second, define morality.

Do this and I'll start to listen.

This serves as yet another declaration of someone having not the faintest correct understanding of atheism, morality, or logic.

When will they get it through their poiny, little heads that atheist don't HATE God we just understand that God is a fictional character?

To say that nobody doesn't believe in God is as arrogant and stupid as saying all Christians don't really believe in God. I think Christians are wrong, but I'm sure many of them do actually believe in God.

Statistic show that atheists are much less often convicted of crimes than are religious persons. That must say something about comparative morality. I have high ethical standards, higher than many professing Christian beliefs.

I am not selfish nor do we atheists have an agenda.

You are an ignorant & uneducated creature who glories in your own stupidity.

Read Senaca, Cicero, Socrates, Plato (in translation if you must) and see where ethics and morality (greek and latin) words originates, in the West, from. Similar applies to the great Eastern philosophers, sadly which I am not as knowledgeable of yet.

werewolf is correct. morality is a concept that requires a modifier, because morality is an arbitrary set of rules derived from the value system of God, society, individual, whatever... Ergo, context needed.

And while context seems to be "knows of the existence of fundie God and accepts His Word literally = moral; else immoral" then yes, I must agree, all atheists are immoral scum. Nice folks, though.

I am agnostic. I behave in a moral way because I have a conscience. Your god is not needed for me. Clearly, you need the threat of punishment to achieve such behavior. I propose to you that I am more moral. Your rebuttal, Anonymous Coward?

Simple, as adontonapeatist's selfish agenda is to hate the Tooth Fairy and deny her revealed tooth truth, no adontonapeatist* can be moral. Nobody "doesn't believe in the Tooth Fairy". They know she is real; they just deny her, which is evil and therefore immoral.

You cannot be moral without the Tooth Fairy; therefore, you cannot be a moral adontonapeatist nor a moral adontonapeatist agenda

The implicit challenge, in my view, is to demonstrate a moral superiority to god. That isn't difficult, as he is like one of those disturbed brats who maim and torture small creatures.

Woe to those who actually need an imaginary bogeyman, especially that stupid one that seems so popular, to enforce their version of morality. OTOH, the people who are morally "successful" can do the right things without guilt-tripping themselves or needing to beg guidance from their "Massa".
