"I saw on TV once"
That pigs have wings and can fly? Yeah, "I saw on TV once" is such a reliable source.
"that 99% of people who claim to be an atheist, can not pass a lie detector test when asked, "Do you believe in God?""
Right, because lie detectors are just so damned admissible in court. Did you know that something as simple as high stress levels can fool a lie detector?
"I also read that"
Without the actual source, that's as reliable a statement as "I saw on TV once."
"most who claim to be an atheist, had a very poor (if not bad) relationship with their earthly father while growing up."
BWAHAHAHA!!! Sorry, but parental neglect is such a cliche excuse that only the incredibly stupid would buy into it.
Oh...wait...
"Therefore, because they never felt loved and accepted by their earthly father, whom they SEE... have extreme difficulty in perceiving how this Heavenly invisible Father could possibly give 2 cents about them."
I could go on about how it's more likely they examined the evidence and concluded there is no god, but I can see you're in your own happy little world so I'll leave you be.
"SO, I decided to put this information to the test."
Test? You mean with evidence? Oh, right, I forgot the fundie way of testing things; conclusions come out that don't agree with your stance? LIE.
"Whenever someone tells me they are an atheist, I look them square in the eye and say;
"You know, studies have proven that 99% who claim to be an atheist, can't pass a lie detector test."
They usually grin at me, but nervously."
Because they know you're full of shit and don't want to get into a religious argument.
"THEN I SAY;
I also read that most never felt loved by their dad's. So it's hard for them to believe that they have a Father in Heaven who loves them unconditionally.
By this time, they look serious."
Because they now know you are getting into an argument and have nothing but silly and unreliable arguments.
"Then I ask,
"Do you feel loved and accepted by your dad?"
And at that moment brothers and sisters, you see the pain in their eyes."
Because they just realized how stupid your argument truly is.
You know, as a side note, I was pretty much the golden child of my family and I'm an atheist. I grew up wanting for nothing and I felt (and still feel) loved by both my dad and mother as well as my sister. What does that say about your argument?
"So don't believe them when they say they don't believe in God."
That right, just stick your head in the sand whenever you hear things you don't like.
"Try to get to the heart of the matter."
Something you're unable to do without a fantastic failure which leaves you looking like the fool you are.
"Some so-called ex-atheist I once knew are now totally in love with Jesus!"
Yes, so in love with Jesus they're down on the knees every night with their eyes tightly closed and their mouths wide open...
A sucker born every minute.
"HALLELUJAH!!!!"
Considering my previous comment, I don't even have to try with this one.
