It is very sad that "the scientists" always attribute the earthquakes to the" underwater faults rim..blah blah" TOTALLY discarding that THE GOD(we know)WHO CREATED the UNIVERSE and the planet earth IS SPEAKING also thru this multiple earthquakes and CALLING people to STOP and CONSIDER....to no avail seems to me....
9/11 and The Tsunami have come and gone and people JUST DON'T CARE...where is the SO CALLED REVIVAL of REPENTANCE and RETURN to GOD that many PREACHERS have been TRUMPETING for so long???

FUNDIE: Right.
VILLAGER 1: Well, that's cleared that up then.
FUNDIE: Look, you're not thinking Godly. That's what Gods are: Godly. They do Godly things. Things that are... (shrugs) Godly. Maybe this is the way they communicate.
VILLAGER 2: By destroying houses?
VILLAGER 1: And sending tsunamis?
FUNDIE: Why should they speak the way we do? They're Gods.
VILLAGER 1: OK, professor, what does it mean?
FUNDIE: Maybe, maybe, OK? Getting your house destroyed makes you angry as hell, OK? "Hel." They do it to people of low income, "lo." "Hel-lo," gettit? They do it twice -- twice, "two." "Hello two." And the tsunami must mean "you." "Hello to you."
VILLAGER 2: I wouldn't like to be around when one of these suckers is making a speech! (He limps out.)

You want to know the day, honestly, the very day, I said I can no longer believe in God?

It wasn't after years of Bush invoking His name to kill Iraqis, or Pat Robertson, or any other murderous asshole. It was when I read a news story about five children in Mexico who had been at some open-air cross -- a metal cross -- and praying to God for protection from the thunderstorm that had swept into the area.

You can guess what happened, right? Sorry, but if five children praying at a cross specifically for only one thing -- that they not be struck by lightning -- can't catch a break from God....aargh.

And the crazy thing is I still pray sometimes. I would love there to be a smart and loving God out there. But when something awful happens, be it Iraq or Indonesia, I don't blame it on God, or crazier still, praise Him.

It's 2:30 a.m. and I am tired of people like this.

I see I've stirred up some shit on that site. I see the admin has also tried banning my IP. Naughty, naughty...

Perhaps you could relay back to your friends the following:

1. "tragical" IS a word:

2. I did NOT submit these quotes, I merely informed you of them. Not that I wouldn't have posted them anyway, someone beat me to it.

3. I have no problem with being called a "bonehead", but I am pretty sure it's not very Christian and that you can go to Hell for it unless you repent. Do tell your friend to be more consistent with his supposed beliefs.

4. Buzz's comment was not taken out of context. His words were pretty clear: "racism is a by-product of evolution". If you can find a "context" where it could have another meaning, other than this kind of context...

"I found a note that said 'racism is a by-product of evolution'"

...I'd like to hear it.

5. If some of you don't wish quotes submitted here, just TRY to be more rational and logical and stop making up statistics. Do you know the story about the bear and the false witness?
